We totally enjoyed this Alaskan cruise, booked for our 45th wedding anniversary. The trip did not disappoint. It was our first cruise, and we would choose Norwegian again for future cruise opportunities.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room was a little frenetic, but food and service were great in all venues.

5 out of 5
The ship had plenty of activities available for those who wanted to partake.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The cruise director and staff made sure there were plenty of entertainment and activities scheduled for all to enjoy. The new Deal or No Deal was a fun diversion.

5 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly and helpful at all times.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

Just what we needed, good storage space and incredible views from a spacious balcony.

Book dining and entertainment options as early as possible as things do fill up.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
Well organized departure and arrival. Best of Seattle tour was great and Marta was an excellent tour guide.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Only reason for missing star was the weather was bad and most excursions cancelled. We were still able to visit Juneau and get some shopping in, despite rain and wind.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Totally enjoyed breathtaking views on the White Pass and Yukon Railway, had a great lunch at the Red Onion and enjoyed the shops and sights in town.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Was very foggy inbound to the bay, but cleared up nicely for SPECTACULAR views of Marjorie Glacier and surrounding views.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

5 out of 5
The Saxman Native village was very entertaining and interesting, however combined with the Lumberjack Show it left little or NO time left to see the town on this half-day port visit. Next time I would probably skip the excursions on this stop, or maybe do just one.

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
Just a weather fluke, but headwinds caused us to arrive late and our carriage ride was cancelled. As this was a very short planned stop, we opted to stay onboard and do an extra specialty dining at Q .

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and easy disembarkation. It was well organized.
