Review summary
The service and food was excellent! It was too crowded. You could often not find an open elevator or a place to sit. Two of the shore excursions were canceled due to weather. I would have been much happier if they had offered an alternative like a tour of the town/city. The amount of time in Skagway was too much. We did our train ride and walked through the town in the morning and went back to the ship which didn't leave until evening. The opposite was true in Ketchikan. We were rushed through a Native American village because the bus drivers had additional routes. We rushed through picking souvenirs and didn't even have time to use the bathroom before we were rushed back on the bus. Since we went through the town to get to the Native American village, we saw that there were many things we would have liked to explore but there was not time. The Beatles cover group was scheduled to play at the Cavern club but when we got there 1/2 hour early, it was standing room only. Why did Norwegian not give this extremely popular group a larger venue? Jersey Boys and Six were wonderful shows, we thoroughly enjoyed them! Glacier Bay National Park was amazing and the forest rangers that came on board were very knowledgeable about what we were seeing. Since our main purpose for taking this trip was to see glaciers before they melt, this was the highlight of the trip!Embarkation
