Review summary

Next time I’ll pay better attention to the length of the stop and closeness to towns. The ship was too big to be close, the bus shuttles were long lines, and the stops were WAY too short (especially taking extra time on bus rides).

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was nice to be able to do the safety part by video prior to boarding. It was confusing where to wait for our group to be called.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Contrary to what other day, we thought the food overall was good. Not everything was gourmet, but it was better than we’ve had on other cruises.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
It was disappointing how many activities had additional charges. Would have been nice to just have a reservation for those activities since we already paid a lot for the cruise. Adult hot tub area was nice, speedway was fun. Didn’t get to enjoy the spa area which was extremely disappointing!!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were great!

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Joan in Taste went above & beyond for us easy time we dined! Rene, our cabin attendant was always kind and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Areas were clean and staff were always taking care of maintenance details

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our cabin! It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it to have the extra space inside the room and on the balcony

Ship tip

Be ready to be up EARLY, stand in long lines and have rushed stops. The stop in Victoria isn’t worth it. You spend all your time getting on/off the shuttle bus.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Sitka, Alaska

Longest stop - they should all be this long to really be able to enjoy!

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Adding the Endicott Arm/Dawes Glacier boat tour extended the day and really made it worth it!

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Not a lot to do but it was beautiful

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
The shuttle was terrible. All our time was consumed by the shuttles. If you do an excursion in Ketchikan, you don’t even get to see the town! Extremely disappointed with this stop! That said, the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman’s tour was incredible!!

Victoria, British Columbia

2 out of 5
Victoria is beautiful and I love visiting. This stop was worthless though. Too late in the evening, everything was closed, and again the shuttles were long lines and far from town. Not worth the time

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We opted to carry off our luggage. Not bad at all

Victoria is such a beautiful city, it's a shame that NCL itinerary only includes it to stop long enough to check-off a box so it counts as an "international" sailing. Other cruise lines do it, too, thanks to a dumb outdated old U.S. law about shipping...oh well.
