Review summary

Was happy with cruise experience But will not advise to book through Cruiseonly.com. We went on this cruise with two other families. All three families booked similar rooms on the same floor at the same time. We did through cruiseonly.com, one family did through their travel agent and one booked directly through Norwegian. The other two families got a better deal than us. One of my sister’s room was next to us.(exactly same room. , we paid the same amount) my sister was given free internet package plus speciality dining and other stuff. I asked at the guest service on the cruise on why my family didnot get all the additional benefits first I was told that the other family must have paid more. My sister was with me and said that was not the case , the guest service rep then said it was because we booked from different sources. So I would advise to book directly through Norwegian or local travel agent as they may get you additional benefits . The staff on the cruise was truly amazing .

If you and your sister booked on different days, perhaps one got the "Sale offers" and they weren't available when you booked.

Glad you mostly enjoyed your cruise! When booking you should have had the option to add on free at sea which entitles you to the drinks package, specialty dining, WiFi etc for a set fee. It’s not a massive amount to pay upfront, and rooms on the same deck can be different prices for forward, aft and mid, so even if the amounts you paid weren’t that different they could have had free at sea added and you didn’t. You will know for future cruises anyway!

Glad you enjoyed your Alaskan cruise. There will always be people who got a better deal for a variety of reasons. Don’t begrudge this. If you feel comfortable with your deal to start with, be happy. Ask what others did and try it for next time!

I have always booked through cruises only and NEVER had a problem. I have always had the same deal as booking directly with cruise company, sometimes get extra depending on what cruises only offers. As far as Norwegian cruises, the free package is offered in your cruise along with drink package.

It always makes sense to compare different offers and choose what's best. Very often booking agencies add their own perks to the ones offered by the ship so you get a better deal.
