A Fabulous Cruise! by GenevieveC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Navigator of the Seas is absolutely huge! For its size it was remarkably smooth even when we hit some high winds there was minimal noticable affect. The posted signs were easy to understand and for its size made everything quite easy to find. Beautifully designed public areas including the promenade, casino, various clubs and bars and pool areas.

Royal Caribbean delivers again! by LeslieC1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our 2nd cruise on the Navigator and we were very pleased with the new entertainment, and activities. Although this was a short cruise, it was packed with activities for all ages. The ice show was fantantic, as was the comendian and the dance numbers performed by the cruise staff. The food is very good, and the ship is well designed with a beautiful promenade full of gift shops, bars, and opportunities to snack. The gym and spa area is beautiful and well maintained. They have, however, discontinued their Ship Shape/Vitality Program which we hope they will start again. We missed getting shirts and other apparel at the end of the trip for all our exercise attempts. This is our 10th cruise with Royal Caribbean and we would never consider another cruise line.

Marvelous time - first time cruiser by MaryC2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have to say that I was somewhat apprehensive about cruising since I have never spent my vacations on a cruise ship. I enjoyed my vacation so much that I didn't want to sleep just keep enjoying all of the activities that were going on the ship. I had the opportunity to see (3) shows while on the Navigator and the food was wonderful. As I was enjoying the relaxation of it all my first thought was, when can I do this again. Your travel booking agents are so knowledgeable and patient and I know I will be using BJ's vacation service again.

Our cruise vacation! by ArdisB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the ship and the staff were so accomodating and friendly. The shows were great and we loved just walking around and taking in the beautiful decor everywhere you looked. The food was always great and we never had to wait in a line at the Windjammer cafe. It was wonderful to be constantly waited on and pampered! We have sailed with another cruise line in the past including Royal Caribbean and there is no comparison. RC is outstanding by far in their ships appearance, design, staff and service! We were unable to visit Grand Cayman Is. because of weather and we don't blame the cruise line for that even though it was disappointing. We did not enjoy our visit to Jamaica. We were bombarded with natives trying to get us to buy something or take a taxi. There really wasn't much to do other than shop or take one of the excursions and it was very windy and cloudy so we were happy that we didn't take one. We will not go back to Jamaica!

Spectacular ship! by LitaS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have cruised a couple of other times with other cruise lines and this cruise line and ship was amazing. The personnel on board were wonderful and the variety of activities were great, never a dull moment. I am prone to motion sickness and I didn't use any medication the entire time and I didn't get sick, hooray! Cozumel and Belize were beautiful. I lounged at a beach in Cozumel called Mr. Sancho's and it was gorgeous, clear waters and white sandy beach. Then in Belize I took the rappelling/zip lining excursion in the caves and that was truly an unforgettable experience. Let's put it this way, I will be taking up rock climbing as a hobby when I get back home!

A Fun Cruise by PeterO1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our overall experience on the ship was good. My wife was pregnant and was not able to do the rock climbing wall or go on some of the excursions which was a let down. We received wonderful service on the ship and if we had a problem it was dealt with very quickly.

Great for kids, not for Foodies by SueB3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very clean ship, a bit crowded, good luck finding a chair by the pool, but there was always something to do. My son loved the childrens program, he is nine and it catered to his age well. The food was not awful, just very average, and was surprised they had no theme nights, especially since going to Mexico. Really lacked fresh fruits and salad choices, I ordered fish everyday, and sadly was disappointed, I dont eat meat, and the salad was lacking, so surprising that the quality was not better on this ship since everything else seemed very nice.

A perfect sisters get away! by ShellyW3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My sister in law and I recently sailed on the Navigator of the seas. This was my sister's first cruise and my 5th. I had never sailed Royal Carribean before. I was pleasantly surprized by the beauty and size of the ship. It was at least as beautiful, if not more so than other ships I had been on. The service was wonderful!! We had an inside room, which I have always had, and I think this was by far the nicest. Our room steward, Habib, was excellent, quietly friendly and provided perfect service. We booked the cruise through cruises only, which I have used 3 times now and their service, as always was wonderful, including a ship to shore call made to clarify a credit. Royal Carribean was excellent in our interactions with excursions and giving us a full credit on an excursion that did not go as planned. They were easy to work with and I was impressed with their efficient service. The food was very good. I think the buffets were the best I have ever had as far as quality and choice. The dinners were very good but I personally think Celebrity's dinners are just a notch better. Although I was impressed with the options of several appetizing low sugar/fat options at every meal as well as desserts. Everyone who had these loved them. The serving sizes were smaller than I am use to, but this is a welcomed change as there is always too much food. Our dinner service was excellent, but again I think Celebrity's dinning room service is just a touch better. Over all I would say this was an EXCELLENT cruise and we are planning to go back next year. I would strongly recommend it to anyone. It wasn't until the last 2 days that we discovered the coffee bar was included, it was a very nice touch and one I will facilitate next time. The prices of drinks was comperable to most drinks at home. A glass of wine being $6.25 much cheaper than celebrity! I had the most wonderful Patron Margarita!!! This was also my first 5 night cruise as I have always done 7 nights before...and I loved it, just the right amount of time!

First Time Cruise by RuthW70636049

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise ship trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience albeit short--2 nights. We wanted to see if this type of travel worked for us since we live on our boat in the NW and cruise the waters of WA state and Canada for 6 months already. We thoroughly loved this as we could "leave the piloting to someone else." We had wonderfully prepared meals at which we met some great people. Since we snowbird in Florida every winter, we are looking for another cruise already!

Absolutely wonderful cruise! by StacyM1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was twice as big as the previous I had cruised on, and the whole thing was just majestic! Only bad part was that my bed kind of vibrated a lot! Not sure what that was from, it would stop from time to time. Plenty of activities, and never went hungry, food galore! We hung out in our room on the second day of our cruise because of NFL playoffs, and ordered room service (and missed formal night, which we hated!) Loved Grand Caymans, and our excursion there! Jamaica kind of freaked me out though--we hadn't booked an excursion there and planned on just hanging at the Island Village, and Margaritaville---but my son insisted he wanted to go do something else, so we got a driver that wouldn't leave us alone as soon as we got to the parking lot at Port, he took us to Dunn's river falls, which was spectacular! but the people insisted you had to rent shoes to walk the falls for $7, my husband and daughter decided they didn't want to walk them , when we met back up they said some man came and jerked my daughters' camera from her wrist and started taking pictures of them, and in turn told them that is how he makes his living, and of course wanted money, so my daughter finally jerked the camera back away, and my husband gave him a couple of dollars and he went away. Then after completing and returning our shoes, were practicly mugged in this small souviener villiage of sorts, we then had our driver take us back to Island village, where we spent the rest of the day. We also passed some beggers as we were reporting back to the ship that were on the other side of the fence, later from our balcony on the ship, we witnessed the police chase these men into the water and throw ROCKS at them! Also beware of these people that throw necklaces from beyond the fence, and ask you to get it! Other than that experience, It was a beautiful country, just a little scary! lol

Great cruise! by MelissaT4

This was a good ship with a good amount of active things to do. We did not have difficulty securing seating by the pool or at the solarium, which was a welcome sanctuary area.

Cruisin' in style by LoriO8995227

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Navigator was one of the nicer ships I've been on and I'm a cruisin' girl. I loved the promenade area for the feel of it. Also, the fact that some interior rooms overlook this area should be a huge bonus for those not having a balcony. Balcony room was pretty typical - nothing really special except, well, of course, the balcony is always pretty special. Food in Windjammer was ok for breakfast and lunch but not super for dinner. Johnny Rocket's was great though as was Chops for the steak dinner
