Review summary

What a holiday of a lifetime - the ship FAR outweighed my expectations and it looks amazing for 15 years old. Every single member of staff is falling over themselves to make your holiday better / smoother / quicker / easier. The facilities on the ship were fantastic and everything was spotless. the cabin was a brilliant size for us (family of 5) and the places we visited were amazing - I thought the itinerary was spot on. Thank you Royal Caribbean for an experience we shall never forget.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only ever ate in the places where the food was included in the price we had already paid - Cafe Promenade, Windjammer and Sapphire Dining Room. Why wouldn't you? The selection of food in the Windjammer was phenomenal, the quality of food in the dining room amazing, and they even had gluten free pizzas in the Cafe (my daughter is coeliac). BRILLIANT!!! Waiters and dining staff were SO friendly and helpful.

Onboard Activities

The kids were entertained the whole time - they loved the pools and hot tubs, had a go on the rock wall and ice skating and the crazy golf. We never had to wait to do anything, it was fantastic.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We only watched one show as the kids usually wanted to hang out in the pools in the evenings watching the film on the big screen - fine by us, we could try out the different bars!! The act we saw was an illusionist and he was absolutely AMAZING.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We could not fault a single member of the crew - everyone was so kind, pleasant and helpful (and funny!) These people work every day for 7 months non stop and are a credit to Royal Caribbean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin itself was great - really spacious and incredibly clean. We had plenty of storage space and the bed was really comfy. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars was its position. Being right at the front of the ship, although this gave us a great view, it did mean we felt the motion of the ocean more. And in the Bay of Biscay, this was not pleasant!!!

Ship tip

If you're calling at Gibraltar, book your cable car tickets online in advance and avoid the queues!!

Book your tickets for the cable car online in advance - the "already booked" queue was shorter and you don't have much time there anyway!
