Review summary

Excellent cruise from start to finish. Service great , excellent food and choice. Did not do any excursions on offer from Royal Caribbean as you can do your own thing in every port. Sun beds do get reserved which is against the ships policy. Would definitely use Royal Caribbean again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy and quick embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Fabulous food and drink plenty of choice. Great service.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty of activities to do. No pressure to take part in any of them.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Generally very good , perhaps a big star entertainer is needed at least once on the two weeks.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly polite and very hard working.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Some signs of wear and tear. But it is kept clean and tidy everyday. Maintenance crew working all the time. Good looking ship and interior is very pleasant.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very nice room good size. Loads of space for hanging clothes up in wardrobes. Safe in the room. Bathroom was big enough. We had promenade room over looking the promenade. Some noise can be heard from late night but always stopped at 1 am which didn't bother us.

Ship tip

Enjoy every minute .

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England Did not visit port

Only travelled here for embarkation.

Gibraltar (U.K.)

4 out of 5
Very British port. If you want to see the apes take a taxi in high season. Don't bother with Dolphin trip you will almost certainly see them from the ship.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

5 out of 5
Easy tender to shore. Catch train to Monaco for €3 return. Villefrance small market town. Lots of restaurants.

Ajaccio, Corsica

5 out of 5
One of the best ports on this trip. Good walk around port. Little sight seeing trains are worth doing.

Cagliari, Sardinia

3 out of 5
Not the best port. Loads of graffiti everywhere. Do the City tour bus and you will see some of the more interesting bits. Good size shopping area.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Probably the best port of call. Visit the cathedral, fairly long walk from port to cathedral or catch a bus.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
Some good places to visit here all within easy walking distance.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
Lovely old town. Cathedral not far from port , very narrow streets with bars shops to explore.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
So easy from early morning call to disembarkation. Cases easy to find. A lot easier than an airport.!!

Just took a chance when we got off. Usually plenty of local tour buses around once the ship has docked. Or we just walked where we wanted to go.

did you organise your own tours before you got to each port or take a chance on availability when you disembarked?

What ports did you go to

6 days until our first cruise can't wait, we are also planning on doing our own thing at each port.

Except for the disappearing empty sun beds (common on most ships) it reads like a very nice cruise was experienced.
