The itinerary was great. The food was mediocre at best. While the dining room and cabin staff were good, customer service overall is not MSC’s strong suit.

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food was redundant, the quality and taste was not good. The buffets were crowded and noisy. The bars rarely had the beer and wine offerings that were on their menus.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The fitness center had good options, was clean and uncrowded.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
A lot of effort went into the sets, music and costumes. The performers were very good. But, after 3 nights, the shows seemed to be the same with only changed up music and sets. No variety (comedians, magicians, etc. )
Children's Programs
No kids.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Our dining room waiters, Maiko and Pietro were very good as was our cabin stewardesses, Selma. The staff in the buffets and bars were not extremely friendly.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship’s common areas were very well maintained. The layout was very frustrating. Getting to the 16th floor buffet required using a specific set of elevators or going a floor below and walking up. The promenade deck didn’t allow for walking or jogging without bypassing barriers.
Cabin / Stateroom

Overall, we were happy with the room which was pretty standard for a cruise ship. However, a few more inches in the shower would be nice. There was not enough room to towel off without hitting a wall. The lack of tissues, cream rinse, body lotion and facial soap was disappointing.
The cruise ship was bussing people to a staging area for transfers because of Carnival. They said it would be too difficult to get taxis at the port because of traffic. We arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the terminal and there was no issue with traffic.
I like the itinerary. Food definitely needed improvement, and some of those bartenders next an attitude adjustment or treat them the same. They deserve it. Anyway, thank you for your review.
People either love or hate MSC. I have been on five MSC Cruises in the past year and enjoy them. I thought the food was equivalent to or better than Carnival and Royal Caribbean.
