Experience as much as possible. If something or someplace is too crowded find another activity. Relax, you're on vacation!

Don't eat in the buffet. Keep your trips short, ship begins to smell like septic system after three days. Bring wipes or something to clean your room and toilet with because mine weren't cleaned.

Ask the representatives for the list of events before you book your show or specialty meals. 24/7 room service only serves a cold ham and cheese sandwich on white bread with no crust.

Here's several pieces of advice: (1) Bring ear plugs, lots of noisy common areas. (2) Bring own CPAP ext cord as there is a $30 deposit for one from the ship and they are in short supply. (3) Bring a multi-plug to plug into the one outlet in a cabin if you want to plug more than two things in at one time.

It was easy to change dining times, don't feel stuck at one time or dining room. Just ask at the entry to any of the dining rooms and they will do their best to accomodate your request. I changed my dining twice on my 4 night cruise and ate in 3 different dining rooms.

DON'T sail with MSC!! We've been on probably 20 cruises in the past with Carnival, Royal Caribbean & Norwegian. MSC was terrible!

If you have any interest at all in the specialty dining options, book them immediately and commit to your time. Planning shows through the MSC for Me app was very useful, especially thanks to the personal agenda feature showing your daily schedule. Take full advantage of the app, it's one of the things they got absolutely right. Be prepared for the same food daily unless you choose to spend plenty of extra cash. Our ticket prices were better than any of the other competing lines, but that comes with a severely hampered experience for that price.

Don't pre-buy stuff unless you carefully read restrictions (some of which are not even documented). Example, the Mexican specialty restaurant is great, but 4 meal dining page costs $99 ($25 per meal). You can buy "All you can eat" for $17.99 on board and the pkg is fixed and gives you less (NUTS!!!).
