I cruised with my significant other, and another couple for one of our 40th birthdays. The 3 others I cruised with have never cruised before. Their overall experience was great! The negative takeaways I feel could be fixed but it is just how the cruise does it maybe? I've cruised Disney, Silver Seas, Carnival and Norwegian. MSC is beautiful and clean. Pools are small and service is slow but Ocean Cay was nice.

The port was not labeled as clearly as we expected. Once inside, we couldn't hear the numbers being called it was a bit chaotic.

Main dining room meal was ok. We were very happy with the specialty restaurants and happy we did this option. Drink service was really bad. We expected this and still thought it was horribly controlled. Room service was not good... Regardless what we ordered we would get one cold ham and cheese sandwich.
Onboard Activities

Pools were smaller than we expected. The thermal spa was fantastic & worth the spend. We did the late night party each night which was interesting... we definitely witnessed some interesting things. Karaoke outside would have been great if it wasn't so windy. I wish we would have known about the beach party before we booked our show reservation. Show was ok. Should not be advertised as a "magic show". Our excurssion experience was frustrating. The woman who booked our time and the rep who had us sign in said there was a mix up and our reservation was cancelled. They comp'd us an umbrella and 1 beach mat. It was frustrating.

Magic Show was not a magic show. Talented signers, but not magic. We were bummed that we missed the beach party for the show. The drink was watered down. Not the best experience. Our group felt disappointed.

Our Hola! server was awesome. We were very pleased. Our sushi server was nice. The butcher shop server was not attentive and we needed to ask for multiple things. Bar lines & speed of service was very slow.
