Review summary

This was an all-girls trip that was planned way in advance. The ship itself is beautiful, there are plenty of bars and specialty restaurants on board, as well as a pretty big casino. The cabins we booked were balconies next to each other which made it nice for our morning coffee. Our cabin steward was very attentive to all of our needs and wants. Unfortunately, the main restaurants were packed for breakfast, lunch and dinner which made it for a very long wait to be served and a hectic day for all the servers. If MSC would improve their buffet food this would solve this issue. The highlight of the cruise was the ship itself and running into Francisco.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Went on this cruise with three of my girlfriends and we had no issues with embarkation whatsoever.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The buffets food was horrible especially when the best food was the hotdogs and hamburgers. My friends and I and a few other thousand passengers opted to eat breakfast and lunch in the main restaurant because of the reason I posted above. HORRIBLE BUFFET FOOD!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
I was not able to get in any of the pools as the pools were full of kids, including the adult pool on the 16th floor. Besides that, almost all the deck chairs had been reserved with people's belongings even if they never showed up. My friends and I were going to go bowling but the lanes were out of order. Not much to do on such a beautiful ship that caters mostly to children.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Latin Trio was excellent.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service I received from my room steward Sally was great, my waiter Chris Dionesio and his helper Ron Singalawa were also very attentive and excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to have run into Francisco at the Edge Bar as I had cruised on the Divina before, and he was my and my husband's favorite bar server. On this Cruise I frequented the Edge often to see my favorite server.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship itself is beautiful, the layout and design of the ship is one of a kind. The buffet chairs were filthy as were the floors of the buffet area. ,

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
My cabin was great, with the exception of lack of Kleenex.

Appreciate your feedback. Kids and chair hogs are very frustrating. Glad you MOSTLY enjoyed your girls cruise.

You sailed during spring break! That's why it was so crowded and so many children.
