TV signal is very bad. Beautiful ship, slow to board and debark, shows too loud, great food but slow service, great value overall.

Worst food ever by Sturn38

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Caribbean

We were victims of bait and switch advertising. Main reason sailing was ocean cay. They near informed us we were not going until it was to late to cancel the trip. Very mean and unsympathetic service department avoid this ship and line if you can there are better options

Thanksgiving Cruise by ee18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

Coming back next year most likely. Make sure to go to the port shopping presentations. The port shopping guide RITA is amazing. I got a free charm in every port along with a free bracelet and free tanzanite earrings. She will give you insider tips! The aqua park and ropes course were so fun and amazing. Make sure to go on port days. At sea days have the LONGEST lines.

Nightmare by Sturn38

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We were deceived about the new private island and we were never informed in a timely enough manor to cancel the cruise it was the only reason we were ever sailing. Msc advertised the stop and allowed us and many other to book it even though they new were not going. Falsely advertising the trip. The giving a 100 stateroom credit for not going. I wouldn't have been on the cruise if i new we weren't going. Shame on you MSC. American people will not put up with your tricks

Almost missed a GREAT experience! by StephanieSails

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

We almost turned back on this cruise and cancelled. There are several terrible reviews about the Meraviligia. But we are so glad that we threw caution to the wind and stayed the course. Cruising with MSC was very different than Carnival or Royal Caribbean but different does not mean terrible. It was a new experience which we truly enjoyed.

Spectacular Trip by jmtfrisco

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was a shorter duration cruise than we normally have taken but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The ship and staff are very good and nice and accomodating. The night life needs to be stepped up a bit and the wifi needes improvement. Beyond those 2 things I HIGHLY Recommend MSc Meraviglia as an option for your future cruise. If you have the budget choose the Yacht Club experience, It is second to none!

I Loved MSC. by Christine150

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

I sailed MSC for the first time in Nov. it was a seminar at sea (I’m a travel Advisor ). I’ve sailed 21 times on 5 other cruise lines. I loved MSC. I loved the Meraviglia! Gorgeous ship. I loved the cultural diversity all over the ship from crew to fellow passengers. Highly recommend. Please try it and decide for yourself!

Overall, a good week by BarbaraGC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It did not take the four seasoned cruisers in our party long to decide that we prefer Seaside to the Meriviglia. We felt there were design flaws, like the overcrowded galleria area. We found navigating to the water park was confusing, going up & down steps. There are some bugs that need to be worked out-the name on our cabin phone showed the previous week's tenant for the entire week. I wouldn't care if my name was on the phone or not, but I didn't want someone else's name on it. Reservations got mixed up a bit, but it all worked out. Overall, it was a good cruise.

Had a very good time by a2james

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

After reading many mixed reviews I was hoping to experience the better side of things. Overall we had a very good experience. Getting on board was interesting to say the least thankfully we had purchased an upgraded package and were able to skip a large part of the line. The others I'm sure waited 3 or 4 hours. The check in was not pleasant nothing happy there. Once on board met Robert our room steward, he was awesome always smiling and did a great job he should get a raise. Food over all was good. Buffet was okay but it is a buffet. Main dining room had great service and very tasty. Specialty restaurants were good the Japanese steak house being the best. The dinner with show was very nice good service and great show. Bar areas were less than most ships I missed that aspect hanging having drinks and listening to music I like. We will cruise with MSC again I'm sure.

Magnificent Meraviglia! by DrDennis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Caribbean - Western

If your into great entertainment, good music, good activities, large pool area, a beautiful ship and great customer service...then jump aboard the MSC Meraviglia! I didn’t include food because it is average at best.....equaling most cruise lines.

Not impressed by claracluck

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia

Lacking atmosphere and customer service skills. Need to work on marketplace food standards majorly. No adult only pools. No shoes or drinks allowed in/near the pool areas. No drinks allowed in the theatre. Experienced quite a few issues on this Cruise, so won't be cruising MSC again anytime soon.

NO TOOLS by georgelawler228

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Had a really good time as usual we dont let the little stuff get to us.The crew were unreal and worked harder than ever to make our vacation as good as it could be. THE PROBLEM? The company completley misses the mark on the importance of quality and making tools available to the staff. We have done about 15 cruises now Royal Caribbean, celebrity,Cunard, Seabourn, viking and even Carnival and have never had such poor quality of food.the chicken breast was frozen the soups were thin tasteless even the cheese on the onion soup was welded to a round wafer of bread I think That was not eatable. The pasta was limited to 2 or 3 different sauces that resembles wallpaper paste. Italian cruise line? The cheeseburgers were ok and pizza was good. The waiters at the table were inexperienced but tried hard but not even supplied with bottle opener and had to search around for one before opening my beer every night even in the specialty restaurant. My wife even asked for a cranberry spritzer that after 10 days and multiple explanations couldn't get it right. We went to the specialty restaurant using a package of 3 that includes a show. Sorry to say that even didn't measure up. So was below avarage and food just ok.The ship is beautiful and is not really crowded dispite the amount of people aboard. The shows were ok and didnt see anything that wowed us. The bingo was expensive and we didn't play but the last game they proudly boasted a $500 grand prize. No art auction or inside movie theater although they have a few cool things like bowling, f1 race cars and simulators at extra charge. The pools were crowded the hot tubs were small and cold the slides were fun and oh yes dont forget your room supplied beach towel that needs to go everywhere with you ( even on excursions) and if you lose it $20.Overall disappointed and would not return to MSC. There are too many companies out there that work really hard and deserve our business but Hope's of MSC improving are slim. GEORGE l
