Overwhelmingly Enjoyable! by billfishback

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Because of the excellent service on a ship that was impeccably maintained our first ever cruise will not be our last. We are very thankful for Marlon, Eugenia and Carlos and we will never forget them.

5 night from Galveston by CRobi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Shows featuring ice skating or dancing were canceled due to ship's movement. I wish they would have a back-up plan for shows on these nights (besides a movie) so that night-time entertainment and expectations were considered--such a singing or good stand-up comedians. Considering some weather adjustments on-board, it was a great cruise.

My overall trip was good. Didn't like the bed in cabin and bathroom was too small.

Nice Ship by sscott247

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Mariner is basically a Freedom class. Older Voyager class is 4 decks of cove balconies. This is 5 balconies with glass.

Not so much by smcpheters

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Galveston is not an ideal location to ship out of with regards to the Houston airport being over an hour away.

This cruise was wonderful, and we were not ready to leave the ship. We felt we needed another 5 days because it was so enjoyable.

The trip itself was amazing. There is so much to do on the ship from live entertainment to fun activities. My only concern was the lack of sympathy and awareness given to my food allergies. I attended the Chief Dinner; was exposed to cross contaminatio by shawlawn2002

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

The cruise experiences was overall great but they just need to really focus on keeping the rooms clean verifying that everything is clean including the curtains in the rooms as I mentioned above ours was covered in blood which is how we started our cruise on day one and that was not a very good welcoming also verifying allergies would be helpful I did not like that there was no empathy or follow up for management regarding my allergic reaction from the Chef Dinner.

Relaxing and Wonderful by randyadams

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Royal Caribbean always does such a great job. I love their dining and layout. Wish there were some more mid-expensive jewelry options. I love the EFFY shop, but everything was way to pricy. I needed some options in the $100-$500 range...I just can't see spending thousands for jewelry on a cruise ship. When I asked how much they sold, they said it was tough, no big sales on this cruise. People would buy things if they were quality, but in the cheaper range. Just a suggestion.

Fun, Laughs & Relaxing Vacation by itsmenena

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Best time, we got to Relax, have Fun and Lots of Laughs with all the game shows to attend. It was beautiful and we felt safe in Mexico at both ports. Definitely will recommend it to our friends and family. Looking forward to our next cruise in 2 more years

1st Cruise thru American Airlines by ceeanddee

We had so many negative perceptions about cruising, but this experience, as our very 1st, killed all that. We had an outstanding time and will do it again soon!

Great time at sea (until I got sick)! by rubenavinajr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Treated me and my wife to this cruise for our 17th wedding anniversary. Ended up catching a flu bug on Friday, which put me in bed all night Friday. We scheduled ourselves to stay in Houston on Saturday and fly back to California on Sunday. Being sick during that time sucked!

First Royal Caribbean experience and sweet last minute getaway by DVillaruel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

I will be traveling Royal again someday, perhaps the Bahamas. This experience was overall great. I love the feeling that they were inclusive with their guests. The staff is the best thing they have going. I always to hope to experience customer service on this level else where but it feels good to know there are still companies that value how they treat their customers no matter who they are. I hope this level of care for guests continues. A couple of bad apples doesn't ruin the experience.
