Have fun! This is YOUR vacation! If you’re taking kids, particularly teenagers, emphasize the importance of not destroying property that’s not theirs. Security WILL get them (as they should). And PLEASE make sure your kids are respectful of the workers. There were mean & disrespectful kids watching a worker mopping, & they intentionally got ice cream & dropped it on the floor repeatedly! NOT OK!! The workers are away from their families 7+ months at a time & work very hard to ensure you have a nice, safe & clean vacation. Overall, make the best of it. Go to shows. Play games. Go in the casinos. Dance like nobody is watching. Interact with other guests. Make your vacation what you want it to be. Oh, & eat some beignets. And LOTS of them.

The ship is basically just 6 decks. You have 3 on top, and 3 in the middle. Learn your way around those and you’ll be just fine.

Please be respectful of other passengers! We saw so many displays of horrible conduct, kids running through the halls at 1am, knocking on doors, people dropping food, and just leaving it lay there for the crew to pick up, people stepping on you in the elevators.

Enjoy yourself. Buy excursion early. You may need one case of water. Internet is slow, but worth it if you like social media.

Remember to have extra money for the sail card because not all the gratuities are included. I had to pay for gratuities for a lot of things on the boat that I had to pay on others.

Drink plenty of water. We ordered the 24 pack of water before the cruise and ordered another 12 pack before the end of our cruise. We drank it all and we’re glad we had it.

Take advantage of the huge variety of excellent entertainment. If you enjoy drinking, there are many fun bars and the bar tenders and servers are great! Sorry, but you will be disappointed by the food, and spending extra for the specialty restaurants won't help very much, certainly not enough to justify the upcharge. In spite of food, this will likely be one of your favorite ships.
