Book speciality dining before you cruise for paid ones. If you don’t like elevators then stay around deck 12 - if you stay on Lido like we did deck 16 - you had to 8-10 flights to get to the activities, and 16 flights to get off the ship on port days. So try to split the difference from Lido to main activities.

If cruising with Covid protocols in place, wear mask in elevators and in crowds and sanitize hands often. The Mardi Gras carries a large amount of passengers. Be patient and kind. Also, when using the public restrooms, pay close attention to the door lock indicators. If not, the doors may open while you’re using the restroom.

Remember, it's a big ship, so if you feel crowded, especially on sea days, explore around for quiet out of the way spots. We found the Lenai on deck 8 usually had some deck chairs available that weren't filled with loud drunkards.

Be careful about using the handicap stall in the public bathrooms. I thought the door was locked but was surprised when someone opened the door. The hand motion activators are for the birds.

1) book the bolt early, dont wait for the last day 2) check the restaurant menu early in to decide where to eat nightly 3) try all food option or you will be sorry 4) get to shows in the atrium early, almost an hr before, to get a seat. They go quickly!!! (Even for Bingo) 5) take any elevator you can get in even if its not going in your direction. You never know when you will find room in an elevator

Find a smaller ship! With 6,000 plus passengers and a crew of 1,700 (IF fully staffed, which ours wasn’t ) it is crowded; always waiting for an elevator- then they arrive full; slow service at the bars- due to crowds and not enough staff; you waited in line for everything on the ship; not enough public bathrooms; automatic sliding doors that don’t open 80% or the time, requiring you to push the tiny button in the middle; the public areas from about the 12th floor up were hot.
