I would not want to be on a ship this big again. Too many people - an incubator for covid

Great cruise by ritzzk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mardi Gras

Even though we have visited the ports of call before we really enjoyed the ship. All cruise ships should be designed this way. Lots of places to eat, easy to get around, very beautiful settings, modern, convenient, comfortable, very enjoyable and entertaining

Mardi Gras is a beautiful ship.... by pattis5kids

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mardi Gras

We love to cruise to see new places and have experiences. If you are a party person, the Mardi Gras is for you....we are not, so we will choose a smaller ship in the future.

Carnival is always fun and there is never a lack of food! Crowd size was a little bit more than expected.

Amazing, new, very large ship - great experience for a first time cruiser by webrobby

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Mardi Gras

First time cruiser - the ship is very large and could be crowded at times. However the staff does a great job helping keep everyone busy with activities and spread out across the ship to assist with the possible crowding. There were plenty of activities I just bailed on due to the long lines but - alas that is life on a large ship. I really enjoyed having an Excel Suite and plan to do that again if ever on this line.

Disappointed with this Itinerary. by almamontes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Mardi Gras

Disappointed. You spent most of time at sea, bad weather didn't help. Picking up your photos was a mess, I never got my pics, line was ridiculous. Meals at the main dining room and Lido were awful. Tables at the main dining room did not even have table clothes, rude waiters. With the exception of Cheeban and the Italian restaurant where service and food were excellent.

Very relaxing and enjoyable trip despite weather conditions by xavier2399

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mardi Gras

It was a very enjoyable trip of getting to just relax and rest. The boat offered up a lot to do but being able to just simply rest and not be concerned with the rigors of life is so refreshing. The staff was exceptional and I have nothing negative to say about any of them. They all rose to the occasion.

Not happy by kornell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Mardi Gras

Food sucked, condiments were watered down, liquor was watered down. At the cost of the cruise, and the additional $1000 drink package nothing should be watered down. Staff should be overflowing with enthusiasm and at least look happy to be there.

Ok could have been different by keri4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mardi Gras

It was ok coffee and food was not available as we expected some people were very nice some extremely rude. The house keeper we had on floor nine was amazing. The chef cutting the meat in the breakfast buffet was amazing. Also on a carnival excelsior we had type amazing people in the Bahamas man and women they made the trip and we’re great the electors on the ship weren’t to good but I guess with so many people. But the coffee and food was an issue went for coffee at 4am no coffee in the whole shop and no cream/milk breakfast time was late nit untill 730. Things need to change with the food and deink

Food, food and more food! by jordanferrell01

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Mardi Gras

The food options were amazing and diverse. The shows were hit or miss but Celestial Strings was the absolute highlight. Server staff were great and very personable. The ship lacks many engaging activities so we had to entertain ourselves for most of the day until the evening shows came around. Overall the ship was great, the food was excellent and we would enjoy doing Mardi Gras again.

Relaxing Cruise by RamandaC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mardi Gras

Amazing cruise. From the easy process of using Go Port and shuttle services, Port Canaveral Terminal 3 check in process, beautiful ship, employees of the ship, culture I can go on and on, but I do hold very strong with the bed issue in our cabin. Felt a little sketch on the ride to Porta Plata city center with the surroundings. Those are my only two negitives. I will definitely sail her agian but with a different itineraries.
