We would probably give Carnival another chance, maybe with a different ship. Overall it was a nice experience. The biggest complaint is the other passengers and their actions towards employees. There are improvements that can be made on the ship, but for what we were looking to get out of it, it was 3-4 stars.

For our first cruise this was perfect and we will be going back on the Mardi Gras! Everyone was so kind and the boat was so clean. Not to mention there is SO much to do each day!

Cruise was good. The Mardi Gras is really big. In my opinion the lay out left something to be desired. No Atrium, NO RED FROG PUB inside. Gift shops on 3 different decks

Two beefs very small buffet that close at 930pm and most nights only thing left is pizza to eat after that cause everything is closed. Ship is beautiful though tons of lounge chairs to find a seat somewhere. Good food choices and entertainment. We had great time ate too much as usual. Inflation is hitting everything even carnival.

Overall a good seven day cruise cruise staff was up to Carnival standards

Embarkation was awful as mentioned above. The port is in Florida and plans should be made in the case of a tropical storm rolls through. The cruise itself was awesome. The travel day home was awful, and we got no help from American Airlines or Carnival (we booked our airfare through them). Neither would assist us in trying to get home earlier since we got off the ship so early. American Airlines said Carnival had to request the change, and Carnival said that American Airlines had to make the change. Neither cared about the customer.

Great ship everything was amazing. Overall great ship No issues. Staff was fast friendly and very efficient.

We had a great time. Lots of walking through out the ship.

It was a great cruise a d great ports of call. Only disappointment was the food

Mardi Gras is worth trying for its beauty and the number of entertainment and dining choices but we still prefer the more personal feel of the smaller ships.

The cruise overall was great. Can’t blame anyone for bad weather, but we had it and Carnival took care to make sure everyone had something to do. The ship is nice but Venus are too small for the amount of people carnival plans to have on them. The extra dining options are fantastic and love that most are no charge.

We had fun, but we would not pick the Mardi Gras again. I did not like how small the venues and rooms were.

If you like big ships and a lot of food and bar choices then you're going to love this ship.

We love to cruise and was very excited to go on the new Mardi Gras, only to be let down. No chance to do trivia because the rooms only held about 100 people and the first 100 that came in in the morning stayed the whole time, so new people could not come in. Food choices was way below par and quality of the food was just not good. Cruise Director and staff were all great.

If it wasn't for the rain, this cruise would be really good one. This ship is big, you'll be doing a lot of walking.

This was our seventh cruise overall and we have three more this year all on Carnival we are in our early 60s and we are having a blast sailing with Carnival

We truly had a great time. From getting on this massive ship (that we had no idea of the layout) to going to the ports and playing the games and going to the shows and chilling in the hot tubs and eating more than we needed to and to the staff even though they were short staffed. We always have a blast on Carnival cruises.
