Review summary

We love to cruise and was very excited to go on the new Mardi Gras, only to be let down. No chance to do trivia because the rooms only held about 100 people and the first 100 that came in in the morning stayed the whole time, so new people could not come in. Food choices was way below par and quality of the food was just not good. Cruise Director and staff were all great.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Very good, but we are not sure why they set arrival appointments when they let everyone go that gets there regardless of scheduled time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Have to say this trip was the worst food we have ever had on a cruise and we have sailed over 100 nights. MDR food was not good at all and the menu was not good. They served a ribeye steak as a filet!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The Bolt was fun, but that was it outside of trivia and shows.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Center stage shows outshined the production shows by a lot. Venues are not big enough to hold 6000 passengers- especially for comedy and trivia!

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always top notch

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very clean and shiny but lots of wasted space and venues just are not big enough.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Couch was already stained badly but bed was comfortable. Bathroom very cramped. Balcony was nice, sliding glass door was solid and very quiet.

Ship tip

Think long and hard about this ship. It is very crowded and entertainment rooms are just way to small to enjoy anything.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Was quick, but again, they did not do it by numbers just said anyone carrying your own bags go ahead and leave. Then they did let us cross over on the bridge walkway, either had to wait in a mile long line for elevator or carry our bags to the 4th floor of the garage.

Granted the 6 in our family all pass the Covid test we will be sailing The Mardi Gras in Sept. If I don’t have to cook, clean, and run errands for a week I will not be complaining about what they cooked for me to eat or if I can’t stretch out in the bathroom!

Thanks for your review. We really enjoyed the food on the Mardi gras in January and April. I am guessing the shortages have struck again
