As a whole it was a very good cruise/vacation. The problem is with that many restaurants it takes you until the cruise is basically over until you find the better places to eat. Staff was great and very friendly. Not sure if I would do the Mardi Gras ship again, or at least wait until they get all the bugs/kinks worked out or Covid/Staffing issues are gone. The ship is Amazing thou! Best places on the ship: Fortune Teller Bar, Alchemy Bar, Java Blue Coffee Shop (the desserts are great!), Piano Bar (Eden), Blue Iguana, Street Eats, 555 Steak House, Bonzai Sushi, Guy's Burgers. Muhalli our Room Stewart.

Ship was beautiful and we loved the many options for eating, especially the speciality quick serves like Guy's Burgers and Shaq's Big Chicken. That made it easy to know what we'd eat for lunch. Sit down dining was overall a disappointment. Main dining room, gave more of a cafeteria eating feel and service was way below par. A highlight of our dining was the Italian restaurant, loved it so much we ate there twice. Shows were a bit disappointing. While there were several and sometimes multiple to choose from, the production was lacking in most of them. Best bar on ship was Fortune Teller. Craft cocktail with an entertaining twist.

Beautiful ship but prefer smaller ships. Thought pizza and sandwich place should be on the lido deck. Theaters were too small for all the people on board. Missed all shows because we were at dinner from 7:45 till 9pm and if there was a show at 9:30 you could never get a seat. Definitely wouldn’t go back on the Mardi Gra. I’ll stick to the smaller ships

Beautiful ship. Small accommodations… state rooms, theaters, pools, elevators, etc. Good staff. Ok food with a decent variety. Stunned that a breakfast staple like bacon was NOT available daily at the buffet, instead only every other day! Great restaurant dining options. We especially loved the hibachi. Loved the comedians as always! Thoroughly enjoyed the 24 hr ice cream. Disembarkation was pretty awful. Stuck in hallways, stairwells, and elevators for like 45 minutes or so when disembarking.

I am now hooked on cruises. We are going at least once a year now.

The serving staff in dining were not personable, food was not very good. Waiting for desert to arrive was too long. Staff had to be asked for refills and were not very pleasant when asked for anything extra, ie, syrup, butter or dressing. Took a while to receive these extras.

We had a blast with the crew. Jay Jay was fantastic. The flyingscotman is one of my favorite cruise directors. Everything was perfect.

This ship is a good choice for families with young children. We choose it because e we’re taking our grandchildren. The food choices available were numerous and the lines moved along fairly quickly. The entertainment and shows needed improvement.

Beautiful ship, very clean, great staff, many food options, and unique activities, like the only cruise ship with a roller coaster! Ship was however very crowded at full capacity, especially at elevators & theaters! Despite requirements to be fully vaccinated & test negative 3 days prior to travel, I feel it was a Covid super spreader! By the end of the cruise many people were coughing, 4 out of our group of 11 tested positive, & in the Facebook group for our sailing MANY people posted & commented they had Covid upon return!

We had an excellent time and thank all of the hard working crew members.

The cruise ship was fantastic. I had an amazing time and enjoyed everything, everyone and all the islands. I do wish or have a concern about each port island. I do not like the fact that in order for us to go to a beach or enjoy the beach we had to purchase a spot as a separate thing like an excursion . We already paid so much for the trip I think if we not paying extra for excursions the beach portion should be a given. I was disappointed I didn’t get into any of the beaches and the ocean. The pool in Dominican Republic was okay but that’s not what I wanted. So that’s my only downfall. Beaches should not be excluded as an extra .

We cruised Carnival four years ago and boy, has it changed, you get nickeled and dimmed for everything, food in the main dining room, drinks (water) if you want soda pop with meal it costs $.21 an ounce. Was when it came with your meal. Was a time when the ship officers were introduced….only the Capt over the PA. Food was not all that good and usually cold. Over all a very disappointing cruise. We will not be sailing Carnival again!!!😝

The cruise had so much to offer especially with fun things to do on and off the ship to make your vacation memorable.

Had a great time and enjoyed are time away. Met up with friends, it was a good trip

We had a good time aboard the Mardi Gras. Teenagers enjoyed meeting friends at Circle C. Trivia and games were fun to play during the day.

Overall, this first cruise leaves me wanting to cruise again! I would definitely try to cruise with Lee again, as he brought so much life to the experience! His energy is truly unmatched.

Our son got a tooth knocked out on sport deck. It was handeled well by security and medical team. We are saddened that it will be costly and timely to repair.

Would highly recommend. Safe, fun, and clean. Great first trip after COVID hibernating for 2 years.
