Review summary

Overall was a great first cruise experience, and I would definitely go again. From my understanding of cruise ships, this one is considered a "smaller" boat, so you can definitely feel the waves especially when it's stormy, but it did not feel over crowded, and there were not many kids, so if you aren't bothered by the rockiness of the waves I would recommend this cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick, easy, and we did not have any trouble figuring out where to go.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the dining was fantastic, but I would especially like to recognize Vince and John in Symphony dining room. They were out waiters the entire stay, they were funny, professional, and great at what they do.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were not overcrowded

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
I gave 5 stars for dining above because our dinner servers were so so great, but room service was lacking. Our orders didn't show up about 40% of the time, and items were always missing or made incorrectly.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I wish the balcony had foot stools or some way to put your feet up to make it more comfortable, but other than that, no complaints!

Ship tip

Don't be afraid to ask questions! Everyone on board was very knowledgeable.

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
Skagway is a beautiful town, but was so crowded with multiple ships guests that it made it difficult to shop or get anywhere without long lines and big crowds.

Victoria, British Columbia

2 out of 5
This port is difficult to navigate if you don't have a pre-booked excursion

Disembarkation

Quick and easy

Thank you for sharing. Our family has booked a spring cruise on the Majestic, so I appreciate your comments.

Majestic Princess is by no means mid sized even 140.000 tonnes and 3600 pax + qualifies as a large vessel in anyone's language !

Glad you enjoyed. I’d say the Majestic is more mid size…definitely not small
