Perfect for those that will spend some time in the cabin. The extra room gives you the space so you don't constantly get in each other's way.

Ship tip

Take the time to explore the ship on the first day that you get on. Heading right to the buffet to eat and you will miss a couple other places to get courtesy food while you figure out which elevators to use to get to your various dining rooms, activities, theater, or ????? If you do go to the buffet (16th deck), think about taking your place to the outside where seating is usually available. Of course this option is dependent on the weather. Last thought, don't try to do everything - you will get exhausted.

Ports of call

Ketchikan, Alaska

What you would expect out of an Alaskan town. BUT, being a tourist stop the commercial shops are everywhere.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

Now this is what you go to Alaska to see. Great scenery along with a glacier touching the water, leaving small icebergs floating by the ship. Tight fit, but the captain did a great job.

Juneau, Alaska

Again it's gotten commercial downtown. But take the time to get out and about. The Mendenhall Glacier is the primary tour and getting close is great. It has receeded a bit since our last visit, but still worth seeing. Unfortunately the tram was closed due to wind and weather. We did it last time and it's recommended. If you have time, there are other tours or visits you can do, so check it out.

Skagway, Alaska

Disappointed here. Everything in town is commercial and what I call a "tourist trap". The crown jewel is to take the White Pass train trip. Took it last time.

Victoria, British Columbia

Lots to do in Victoria IF you get get a schedule that arrives and stays in the day time. In the evening many of the historic "stuff" is closed and you cannot tour them. You can walk around and see it, but..... The time and timing on this one was not optimal.

Disembarkation

Always a mad house and lots of people in one area. Don't have a solution when you have to get out of your room so it can be prepared for that same afternoon for a new cruise.
