Was great til my significant other got Covid-then we were treated like pariahs. I tested negative but after the way we were treated for disembarkation I have really negative feelings towards Royal Caribbean. by CherylD1949

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Terrible experience after my significant other caught Covid on board. We were kept in dark and treated like pariahs. Bad!

Wonderful time with our family! by essum

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Nice cruise with some changes people need to adjust to. Missing pool entertainment was a bummer. No live music no DJ music and no funny pool contests like they used to have. Mask up always except at pool deck. Must wear masks when dancing. Deck Patrol walks around and will tell you to put it on. Staff and bartenders especially are working extremely hard. One thing we did for our waiters and room attendant was asked if they needed anything from the Mega store in Cozumel because they are unable to leave the ship as they used to before Covid. Here are the things some asked for: mouthwash, toothpaste, razors, face soap, cookies (small pkgs to keep in there room) and chocolate. The were so grateful when they received their packages. They were all very reluctant to say yes but we asked 2 nights before our stop in Cozumel and they all replied nothing; I said think about it and I’ll you tomorrow so the night before Cozumel they gave us a very small list. Some are too proud and embarrassed but we brought them some anyway. But it feels good to help them out when they do all they did for our large party. We saw many people giving band members bags of chips and snack items on the last night. Everyone so appreciative. There Mega Store (like a Walmart) in Cozumel Mega and it’s about 10 min in a cab near another port other cruise lines use including RCCL. They sell liquor bottles (less than at the port) and beers to go there too.

Covid Hurting Cruising by Kenstokes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Was an Ok cruise but got Covid while onboard. Only had around 1300 passengers for a ship that holds around 4200. No bands by the pools...first time that has happened. Food and entertainment was less than expected.

Absolutely fabulous! by cilla53

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was overall fabulous! The ship wasn’t near as full as in 2019 when we sailed with liberty. We chose this ship because we wanted to be able to drive to Galveston. In passing we mentioned our trip to friends and they decided to go along. We were a little disappointed but grateful for them, they got a balcony cabin that was one of the more sought after ones. Lucky I guess, but we’d liked to have been in one too. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Wonderful experience as usual on an RCCL ship, staff very attentive, ship was spotless, going again soon. by Speakers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

WE have said on RCCL/Celebrity for 40+ cruises with excellent experiences, our grandson age 17 had minor sea sickness on day two with rough seas but guest services provide Meclizine that worked great to improve his issues and by evening he was fine and able to engage in all the activities on board. We were very disappointed with the new Diamond Concierge Ms. Diaz as she was not receptive to our needs and we did not use the Diamond Club as we usually spend lot of time in this area to converse with other travelers. We spent our evening with the wonderful staff in the Bolero bar any enjoyed the wonderful and friendly services provided each evening. We will see this group again in Feb.

The perfect Christmas Cruise by cruising21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first Christmas cruise, first time in a suite, and the first cruise after masks were reinforced for vaccinated passengers. It was a great time and I would do it over again tomorrow.

Best Holiday Family Cruise by Jmtm112

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first Holiday cruise and Liberty of the seas did not disappoint. We had all the Christmas music playing with beautiful decorations and Christmas trees. I really enjoyed swimming and on slides on Christmas Eve and Christmas. This change was needed. The staff cleans constantly and I felt at ease.

First cruise after COVID by Mahalo38

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

RCCL is working very hard to keep COVID away. Consequently, the cruising experience isn't as pleasurable as before. Masks are required except in specific instances, interaction with people who are not part of your group is discouraged, # of people in the elevators is 5, there are fewer seats in the shows. We felt RCCL is really pushing people to buy drink packages, internet packages, paying to eat in specialty shops & restaurants. You don't even get bottled water when leaving the ship unless you've purchased a beverage package. Overall we had a good time, but won't cruise again until restrictions are lifted.

Royal is not as good as it used to be by FloatingPanda

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

This was my first cruise since Covid-19. They need more activities on the ship, and to really work on the buffet.

Good to be Back by Kenstokes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

An OK cruise using Covid-19 restrictions which are more strict than Carnival and from what I read are getting more strict. Service was great...food was not up to RCCL standards.

Wonderful cruise! by SageSwiger

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was a test cruise for us to see how the industry is responding to Covid. We are planning to go on a back to back 28 night cruise in April and wanted to see how it would work. We were very satisfied.

We met some friends we had previously sailed with and also met a new couple from Waco and thoroughly had a great time. Some of the activities are still not happening because of Covid, but we had a wonderful time and it felt great to once again go cruising!!!

Great crew, great itinerary, hard to find food/venues open by prandall1966

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise ports were great. Bad weather in Belize but Roatan is my favorite port of all time. Loved it. The hours things were open on the ship seemed very strange. It was obvious there were not enough staff for the number of cruisers. It was hard to get through a buffet line, they were always out of dishes, there were not many staff on hand in buffet dining area. Tables were closed and it was hard to find seats. There was no variation at all during breakfast.

Good time on Thanksgiving cruise by ZathrasTX

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Belieze did Lamanai excursion- good but long. Roatan did Maya Key and REALLY enjoyed it. So close to Port and private beach with no salespeople. Had a great cruise. Thanksgiving dinner was quite good- pumpkin pie was skippable. Booked for next Thanksgiving
