Nice cruise with some changes people need to adjust to. Missing pool entertainment was a bummer. No live music no DJ music and no funny pool contests like they used to have. Mask up always except at pool deck. Must wear masks when dancing. Deck Patrol walks around and will tell you to put it on. Staff and bartenders especially are working extremely hard. One thing we did for our waiters and room attendant was asked if they needed anything from the Mega store in Cozumel because they are unable to leave the ship as they used to before Covid. Here are the things some asked for: mouthwash, toothpaste, razors, face soap, cookies (small pkgs to keep in there room) and chocolate. The were so grateful when they received their packages. They were all very reluctant to say yes but we asked 2 nights before our stop in Cozumel and they all replied nothing; I said think about it and I’ll you tomorrow so the night before Cozumel they gave us a very small list. Some are too proud and embarrassed but we brought them some anyway. But it feels good to help them out when they do all they did for our large party. We saw many people giving band members bags of chips and snack items on the last night. Everyone so appreciative. There Mega Store (like a Walmart) in Cozumel Mega and it’s about 10 min in a cab near another port other cruise lines use including RCCL. They sell liquor bottles (less than at the port) and beers to go there too.
Embarkation

4 stops + security bag check. Not many cruises on board so that made it easier. However, after getting items off the security scanner they were stopping some people at random to check the wine bottles to check to see if there was possibly liquor in them. They were looking at the seals mostly to see if they looked broken or suspicious.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Everything was actually pretty good. Didn’t eat in Specialty as we were a large group and tried to spend time together.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Only 1 band on the ship. 2 of them were out due to Covid - the Reggae pool band and Latin Band at Boleros (only 2 members sang and then went missing after about 3 nights). No pool games and not even a dj at sail away or any of the nice days we had at sea. That was a bummer as we spent most of our days at the pool in port and sea days.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Entertainment was good. Great comedy and singers and of course the ship’s orchestra was fabulous as always. Silent Disco on 2 nights was a bonus. You must wear a mask at all times inside the ship. Even to dance at all dance party events.
Service and Staff

Wonderful hard-working crew. Short staffed due to Covid and them having to quarantine for at least 5 days.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ships needs updating or replaced. Can’t wait for Allure to get here as that’s what we originally had reserved but due to Covid-19 the new port terminal was put on hold and therefore we had no choice but to keep the reservation as we were a party of 12 celebrating some big events.

Our room attendant, Erik, was very friendly and eager to make our cruise joyful. He brought us ice and wine glasses for our wine we brought on board. Not his fault, but we have been on this ship approx 5 times and the mattresses feel so hard and by the third night my hips felt bruised and it was very hard to sleep. Satellite was out quite often so limited channels Been on this ship approx 5 times and the mattresses feel hard and by the third night my hips felt bruised and it was very hard to sleep. Definitely need new mattresses! Satellite was out quite a bit so limited channels at times, available not a big deal.
Ship tip
No smoking in the casino was nice! But be warned they are walking around to make sure you have your mask over your face in between sipping your beverages. Stop at Bucee’s and get a box of 50 black masks for $2.50!
Roatan - Sol Y Mar All-Inclusive Beach Escape - Staff was excellent. Food was good. Everyone loved the fresh fish. Lots of drinks and even shots. Wear sand/beach shoes as the sand has lots of broken shells. Live music and take cash for tips. You cannot put tips on cc.
Got the best massage EVER (and I have had many - 3 on this cruise) at this place to the left as soon as you enter the port. 20 min massage on a table for $20. Felt like a 1 hr $150 massage. Ask for Wendy, Maria or Alma. There were 3 of us and we all had the 3 ladies. You will not regret it. Take cash and tip in cash. They can’t add it to the bill. There’s also a little beach there you can lay in a cabana or float in the swim up bar pool. They have floaties to use. Or you can go to the giant pool where many like to go hang out and eat and drink. There’s sand around it too.
Mr Sancho’s beach. Always the best. Al a cart and Mexican beer. Try the coconut shrimp and grilled shrimp. You will not regret it. And Tecaté Light beer is great. They have free kayaks to use and 3 pools.
I just read my review. 😂 Sorry for all the typos. *their not there. I was sleepy when I wrote it and way too much copy/paste/deleting!😣
We were on a cruise in Aug and Dec and took a bunch of goodies and little gift bags & tissue paper from Dollar Tree and arranged the bags in the room and passed them out to wait staff and bartenders on the last night. I think from now on I’m going tell them what I brought and offer it to them sooner. 😉
