An OK cruise using Covid-19 restrictions which are more strict than Carnival and from what I read are getting more strict. Service was great...food was not up to RCCL standards.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Long line to get through security, after that it went smoother.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
As a frequently RCCL cruiser, I thought the quality and taste of the food was not up to the quality that I was use to on past Liberty cruises. This included food in the Windjammer, the Main Dining Room, Chops and Giovanni's. I don't know if this is due to just beginning cruising in October or a change in chef's. I will be back again in January 2022 and hope the quality/taste improves.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Again, not up to what I was use too. The pool was cold and the pool activities were sparce.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows were the same from previous cruises and the two comedians performed the same shows (I was on a back-to-back cruise).
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff and service crew were outstanding. This RCCL has done right.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Covid cancelled the upgrade to the Liberty of the Seas. With that said it was clean and the crew were continually disinfecting all areas of the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was clean, the steward Imead was excellent. unfortunately, there is a staff only area to the right of this room that was extremely noisy at night. There was some door that the staff continually open and closed. We complained to Guest Services and it was better for one night. After that the noise continued. After complaining a second time we were moved to another cabin. Unless they fix this issue, I can't recommend the "Ben and Jerry's Sweet."
Ship tip
RCCL has gone very strong on Covid-19 procedures and are going to implement more restrictions. Mask wearing every where is something you might consider if that bothers you.
