Review summary

Embarcation easy. and well organized. Day time activities seem slow and maybe more appealing for 70+ but lacked enthusiasm and vitality for my taste. Most of the programming was come listen oh...BUY BUY BUY...Staterooms SMALL , actually smallest Ive seen compared to other ships. Others who cruise this line often said: gelato pay bar, Dive in, and other revenue producing stands added to this ship take away from cabin space. Entertainment in evenings not always happening. Sail away night...no show!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
DRINK-BEverage card: everyone in room needs to buy it, whether they want it or not. This was annoying as it is expensive and not everyone wants sode/smoothies. I understand fridge in room, but room stewards should be able to lock fridge or remove sodas if everyone not interested Food-OK.... have enjoyed other ship menus more

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
What activities.. ?? Programs mostly a come listen/buy something. Computer man boring....took 1 hour session to teach how to create password

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Only two shows by singers/dancers one show by guest illusionist Not every evening had a show Lincoln center stage quartet was good

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Stateroom SMALLEST Ive seen compared to other ships Balcony small as well Pull out sofa for third bed uncomfortable and took up all remaining free space in room My stateroom was suppose to have spa benefits, but on board I was told it was only the robe, shower head, soaps in shower that made spa. This was dissapointing since I PAID for more, would have booked a different room

dallaspaul - there are other places to post about cruises other than this site. And some people don't even do that but feel the need to vent when they get back. I don't see why you'd doubt them just because you disagree with the post.

Not sure why you claimed that the Dive In was revenue producing. It's free, and excellent.

Complain, complain, complain.

I find it interesting that NOGO had no pictures, no roll call entry, no cruise information. I'm thinking it is completely bogus.

So, you are recommending I do not take this ship until another 20 years pass. Ok. I will put it on my to-do list (lol).

Interesting. This is totally opposite from our experiences on the Koningsdam. They had multiple energetic activities out by the pool during the day, cooking classes and demonstrations in Americas Test Kitchen, dance classes during the day, music everywhere, dueling pianos during the day and evenings, mixology classes (these are a blast!) and awesome shows in their 360 degree showroom. Staterooms actually seemed more spacious than older ships. The Dive In is very good, no upcharge, but I agree that I wouldn't pay the upcharge for gelato. Lincoln Center Stage and BB Kings are excellent evening venues. Not to mention the casino with slot, blackjack, and poker tournaments throughout the cruise. BB Kings and the Crow's Nest are the nightclubs for the more energetic in the evenings. I'm sure a lot depends on the Cruise Director staff on any given cruise. Perhaps on your cruise the staff wasn't as creative as on my cruise.
