Review summary

I have already given my view of the various places we visited. My only other complaint is that there was no free Wi-Fi on the ship which, based on the cost of the trip, was a disgrace. The staff were all excellent and indeed the waiters, state room staff, the bar staff and the people serving in the 'Tea-Room' were incredibly friendly and happy despite the fact that they always to seemed to be on duty !!

The dining room and buffets were really good

Service and Staff

Our 2 waiters were absolutely brilliant. The Barista, Sarah, in the Tea Room was wonderful and always cheerful

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
I've rated it as a 2 because the room had a restricted view caused by the placement of a scruffy, dirty platform which was used to clean the windows of the room on level 7, 8 and 9. The platform was right outside our balcony which meant that sitting on our so called "Oceanview Balcony view" room was not an 'Oceanview' !!!

Valletta, Malta

5 out of 5
The trip to Malta was really interesting and pleasant

Mykonos, Greece

4 out of 5
Not a lot to do

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
The views were wonderful. However we were lucky in that we were the only cruise ship in the town thus it was not too crowded.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

4 out of 5
Athens is full of graffiti and therefore is not a place for sightseeing. However the main attraction, the Acropolis, was well worth seeing

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
Naples was a very interesting place to visit with lots of lovely buildings and sites to see

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very good and easy

Have a look at Virgin Voyages, Free WiFi on board.

Sorry you didn't like you cabin view but "oceanview" only means you have a window. Also, the cruiseline always lets you know when your view is obstructed and you pay less because of it. So I'm guessing you got exactly what you paid for in that instance.

Check Viking, Crystal, Symphony, Regent, etc. if you want free wi-fi, but be prepared to pay 2-3+ times the price you paid for the Royal Caribbean cruise.

Let me know when you find free WiFi on a mainstream cruise line

No phone masts at sea. You obviously dont understand how it works when in the middle of the ocean

Most mainstream cruise lines charges for wifi unless in a suite.
