Review summary

This was the most awesome cruising experience we've ever had. Out of 9 days, we only had one complaint. This was the process of disembarking at port in Rome. There could have been more explanation and clarity by the staff a couple days before leaving the ship. Other than that, outstanding cruise and staff.

Returning to the ship from the top of the mountain is a nightmare. One of our friends fell and broke her leg in 2 places. You fight donkeys on a staircase of over 500 slick stairs.

We paid extra to stay onboard until 1:30pm as our flight wasn't until 10:30pm, it worked well for us straight off and there was our luggage waiting for us no crowds or queues. I would recommend this to anyone who has late flight ( although seeing new people finding their way round the ship when you are leaving is strange I found myself looking for faces I'd recognise!!!!)

Totally agree, the worse disembarkment I've ever experienced. Total shambles. We walked to the dock gate ourselves in the end (once we worked out what way to go) - we thought we'd be waiting there for 3 hours looking at the queue at 9am. Fantastic cruise and wonderful staff though
