Review summary

Although the destination islands and day excursions were very enjoyable and the main reason we'd booked this ship, the ship itself had fewer amenities than what we'd previously experienced with other cruise lines.   There was no chapel for weekend church services, the inclusive dining options were minimal, noon meal at the Windjammer was sparse with meat selections, one of the pool tables would not self-level (thus we were unable to play) and the miniature golf course was in need of repair (torn and very wrinkled turf).  On a positive note, the staff were top-notch and very jovial and attentive, assuring that all on board had a wonderful experience.   Evening entertainment as also top-notch as well as all planned activities throughout the day - nice variety for all ages!!

The ship was clean and nicely decorated...good experience overall.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
spent two days each weekend to tour around San Juan and area. Old Town, forts, rain forest

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
took the 1/2 day sail/snorkeling to St. John's Island (not the best for snorkeling) and browsed around St. Thomas afterwards

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

3 out of 5
1/2 day land tour of the island's history and rum distillary - somewhat disappointing due to driver and assistant (conflict of personalities and inappropriate humor/remarks)

St. John's, Antigua

3 out of 5
1/2 day land tour of the island's history - very nice overall

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
full day of drive-through active volcano, tour of the island and snorkeling/sailing - almost MISSED THE SHIP, though!

St. George's, Grenada

5 out of 5
LOVED the island tour of all the wonderful fruit trees and history/information of spices and their food and medicinal uses.

Good to know that that the staff, the activities, the food were all good and that the ship was clean.  Too bad that the amenities were not up to your expectation.
