Review summary

PROS:  Very friendly staff, excellent room steward, Xavier, wonderful anytime dining experience with the best waiters in several cruises, Sayed & Ciprian.  Very poor vegetarian selections, so Sayed had a chef make special meals and brought extra plates of deliciously prepared vegetables to our vegetarian eater.  That was exceptional service from Sayed and the chef, and we had a happy cruiser.  Her meals should have been the vegetarian selections--not the fake chicken nuggets that were offered one night.  Royal Caribbean needs to do better on this.

Smaller ship so easy to move around and get from one end to the other.  Pool tables, mini golf, climbing wall, larger outdoor running track, shuffleboard, golf simulator, movie theatre, gym, & spa.  Many theme nights with music and dancing 70's, 80's, and outdoor evening party on lido deck.  Theater shows-good singers and dancers, but show content could be better.  One comedian poor, the second one funny.  Impersonator very good, Beatles show, and Gaucho show.  Live musicians with the Broadway shows and elsewhere onboard, calypso band, orchestra, guitarist,  Piano bar.  Has outdoor pool on lido deck with only 2 hot tubs, and indoor pool in solarium with one hot tub.  Fresh juice bar in solarium for $6.50, delicious.  Good food selections in main dining room if not vegetarian, first night salmon was the best, also enjoyed filet mignon, lobster tails, lamb chops, and other seafood dishes.  Enjoyed the outdoor eating areas at back of lido deck, and also one deck above at the Sea View Cafe.

No pressure to get photos taken upon exiting the ship or formal nights which we have experienced on Carnival.  Also fewer loudspeaker announcements which seemed to be quite often on Carnival.

Nice itinerary

CONS:  No Serenity Deck where you can have a quiet moment away from pool and lido deck music/noise. Impossible to get a chair around lido deck or anywhere outside on sea day. Could use additional hot tubs.

Poor Vegetarian selections at main dining room and at Windjammer buffet on lido deck.  Not impressed with the buffet lunch selections.  Went to main dining room for dinner.  Overall felt I enjoyed the food better on Carnival and Celebrity.

Although I had a wonderful spa experience, one person in our group (a senior) was overcharged and talked into additional services. I feel she was taken advantage of. They did refund the overcharge upon her daughter's questioning, but having to question and object to the billing took away from the relaxed feeling from her own massage.  Another's time was shortened by 15 minutes and she spent more time in a shower and sauna (not a part of the treatment package paid for) and had a hard sell for products in addition to the already short therapy time.    Would not spend $130 again to chance getting such a poor experience.

Selling merchandise on lido deck on the sea day.  This took up a lot of space and made it difficult to pass through the deck.  Would be better if just put out on the shopping promenade.
