Enjoy the cruse and if going to Alaska, would recommend the land tour starting from Fairbanks. Dress in layers and enjoy yourself!

Expect to spend more than you think you’ll need as there are merchandise deals on the ship that you may be interested in. If you put blinders on then you might be fine.
RDHERON
There is no International Cafe on board so you will use the Horizon Court for any snacks that you are looking for. The Patisierre is where you will find your coffee shop.

Dont take the panama boat cruise through the original locks. Very long, not enough places to sit inside and food was horrible. The actually locks opening was great but the rest isn't suited for elderly people.

be prepared for a fun time

The tour desk is not always open as the hours posted and if you need to cancel a tour make sure you cancel well in advance because if you don't cancel on time they will not refund you even if they continue to sell that tour after the sale deadline.

The Deluxe Balcony Dinner was $100 for the 2 of us (plus an extra tip) - but it is a bargain considering that you get a champagne split, appetizers, soup, choice of 2 (8oz) lobster tails or surf&turf and desert. So we highly recommend it. If the weather isn't good - you can have it in your stateroom and it's way better than what you get in the dining rooms.
