Review summary

GOING THROUGH THE CANAL WAS THE BEST PART OF THIS 15 DAY CRUISE.   THE SHIP ITSELF IS OLD AND NEEDS TO BE REFURBISHED.  NICE CREW STAFF TRYING TO PLEASE THE PATRONS.  MOST OF THE SHIP'S SHOPS WERE TOO HIGH PRICED FOR THE AVERAGE CRUISER.  TOO MUCH MEXICO.  NEEDED TO STOP AT PANAMA CIY BECAUSE IT IS THE ENTRANCE INTO THE PANAMA CANAL.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANYTIME DINING STAFF. WAITER DID NOT WANT TO WAIT ON A SINGLE PERSON. AFTER SO MANY MINUTES OF NOT BEING WAITED ON, LEFT THE DINING ROOM TO LODGE A COMPLAINT.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
LOTS TO DO ABOARD SHIP.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
SHOWS AND COMEDIANS WERE VERY GOOD.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
MOST CREW MEMBERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND TRIED VERY HARD TO PLEASE PEOPLE.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
THE SHIP IS OLD AND NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. BELIEVE IT WILL BE NEXT YEAR.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
NEED TO VACUUM MORE THAN ONCE ON A FOURTEEN DAY CRUISE. THE STEWARD DID CLEAN UP THE CABIN WELL AND DID MEET OUR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS. THE ROOMS NEED TO BE UPDATED AS WELL.

Ship tip

TOO MANY "GIMMICKS" TO RUN FOR WHEN OBTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT PORTS OF CALL. CRUISE SHIP HAS VERY EXPENSIVE SHOPS AND NOT REALLY FOR THE AVERAGE CRUISER.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
EASY TO BOARD THE SHIP VERY QUICKLY

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

3 out of 5
OK AS A FIRST STOP

Huatulco, Mexico

3 out of 5
MAYBE ACAPULCO WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE.

San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua

3 out of 5
IT WAS AN INTERESTING STOP - NICARAGUA.

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

3 out of 5
PLENTY OF LUSH SCENERY TO ENJOY

Cartagena, Colombia

3 out of 5
WERE NOT IN THIS PORT LONG ENOUGH AS THERE IS MUCH TO SEE AND DO

Oranjestad, Aruba

3 out of 5
NICE TOWN TO PORT IN. BUT VERY COMMERCIAL LIKE PUERTO VALLARTA.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
EASY EXIT FROM THE SHIP. HAVE THE PORTER WHO HELPS WITH THE LUGGAGE SELECT A LANE TO GO THROUGH CUSTOMS.

Thank you for your review.  I was curious about YTD and hoped it would be better than our previous experience on Princess.
