A lovely cruise by islandmami

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Icon of the Seas

It was a birthday cruise for my sister. It was relaxing and fun. The ship is huge, didn't get to see everything on the ship. I did see Rover. RIP to the man who jumped overboard on the sea day. I would love to sail on her again in the future.

Great Ship by Bootch87

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Icon of the Seas

Great trip overall, just annoyed at how often time the pool was closed due to kids vomiting or pooping. It’s out of control.. but just don’t let it bother you! I just made sure I had a drink always in my hand.

OMG AMAZING! by NoSnoozeCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Icon of the Seas

Words can't express how much of a great time I had on this cruise. Booked my Next Cruise with casino free play for my bday next year. ALL of the food was delicious. You can tell the chefs were from Jamaica... Seasonings on point!

Disney of the Seas by merkdjm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Icon of the Seas

The service in all the restaurants was top notch. We ate at Chops, Giovanni’s, and Hooked which had a gourmet menu and superior service. The only downfall was the lack of adult only venues and bars. We encountered small toddlers in all the hot tubs, pools, specialty restaurants and bars late in the night.

Beautiful ship by Cruisersenior

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Icon of the Seas

The ship is beautiful, is it worth what they’re asking if you have kids I guess it is. I wouldn’t choose to go on it again. It’s just a little bit too much but I’m glad that I did because I know what it’s all about.

Icon OTS 3/30 - 4/6/24 by DrS8087

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Icon of the Seas

LOVED most of it, worst part were the throngs of kids age 9-17 running/roaming EVERYWHERE! The time-out & 1-2-3 parents have lost their war! 😂

Overall, we all had a great time. I think what made it stress-free was planning ahead, a lot of research and reading everyone’s ship reviews and tips. Use the App!

Beautiful ship with the new ship smell. Wish the cabin was a bit cooler and wished for shorter lines. by Mikey228

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Icon of the Seas

Just WOW is all my family could say. The ship is beautiful and has the new ship smell. It has lots of activities for kids but everything costs extra. My family wanted to try a cruise on a new XL ship so we choose this one. The trip was a lot of fun but was pretty expensive for what you get. This was also about the first sailing of this ship at full capacity. The first few inaugural cruises were not at capacity for the bloggers and cameras but once the ship is full it feels busy and over crowded. There was no quiet place to go to escape the crowds. The lines were long for elevators, food, activities, even the pools/hot tubs were full and good luck finding a chair on the pool deck that is not hogged. Overall we had a fun time but my family decided we would not do this cruise again due to the surprise costs and the crowds. I did not feel relaxed when I came back home but for some people this is fine.

Expensive, crowded, but still a lot of fun by Mary804

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Icon of the Seas

We paid quite a bit for our balcony room and everything on board was a extra cost. It seems like Royal has gone to nickel and diming customers. Our cabin was a bit too warm for us and the free food was like going to Golden Corral. We just did a back to back cruise on the Carnival Celebration and their free food was much better. It was out first Carnival cruise and we thought we would like the Icon better and did that also but actually liked the less crowded and better food on the Celebration. The service was excellent on the Icon all the employees were very polite and helpful. The ship was just beautiful and the pools were huge just loaded with kids. Overall I would not go on another so crowded ship it was just too many people and the lines were long.
