LOVED most of it, worst part were the throngs of kids age 9-17 running/roaming EVERYWHERE! The time-out & 1-2-3 parents have lost their war! š

Onboard Activities

We didnāt do much other than The Hideaway (avoiding the kids aboard!!!) but if you get bored on this ship its a you issueā¦ NOT from the lack of things to do.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Wizard of Oz was AMAZING!!! NYC Broadway quality from sets to costumes. Comedians were hilarious. ONLY negative and this is partially Royalās fault was the under 18 crowd in places meant for adults. WHY have signs if you arenāt going to enforce them. The āStop or Iāll say STOP againā system DOES NOT WORK!!!!! Parents like making children, but NOT raising them!!!!
Service and Staff

EVERY worker was happy, knew their job and was easy to find out from them where we had to go.
Ship Quality

It still has the new smell to it!!!!!!!! VERY clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

An old style balcony (LOVE that style), cabin DEFINITELY is/feels larger, bathroom is now EASY to shower in. Larger (I am 6ā7, 280 lbs) and it was very comfortable showering. Toilets still flush with ferocity!
Ship tip
No Rising Tide bar, no glass elevators but we loved the new system!!!!!! The Pearl is kind of just there.
Walk thru the pedestrian gate, find a local with a car and they will be more than happy to be your personal tour guide the entire day. They are MORE than appreciative of doing that. Bought our driver lunch when we ate, took us to his families favorite place to eat (want a true local experience) and the beach where only locals go (we were the ONLY cruise people thereā¦ with 4 ships in port). Negotiated 50.00 for the entire day for 2 of us.
THE HIDEAWAY (truly adults only) was DEFINITELY worth the $20.00 each. Heated pool, truly PERFECT!!!! We will not be going back to the other side on anymore stops here!
Just as easy as embarkation. We take all our stuff off with us so we donāt have to wait and rifle through throngs of the night before luggage areas (UUGGGHHHHH)
You might be getting a little too old to sail on Royal Caribbean. You might want to try Holland Cruiseline. Bring your knitting needles. You can also invite some of the other commenters.
Thank you for the review. We go on her in a few weeks. I agree about the children. I have taken my daughter on cruises since she was one but she always stayed with me and is very well behaved. Some parents board and leave the ship to babysit their children as they party and do their own thing. It should be illegal! I worry for the safety of the children, you never know who onboard, staff or cruisers, are dangerous. Also, wild out of control and rude children ruin other peopleās peace and tranquility who also spent a lot of money to have an enjoyable trip. Itās gotten so out of control!
Appreciate your detailed feedback. Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of the children. We do our best to avoid Spring Break sailings. However, it seems to be getting a longer span of time.
Probably too many espe jelly if it was school vacation. It seems once the parents are on board the kids are on their own. That's why I don't approve, kids going on a cruise. Especially toddlers who won't even remember it. Cruising is for adults to relax and do what they want. Just my opinion.
