Expensive, crowded, but still a lot of fun

Review summary
We paid quite a bit for our balcony room and everything on board was a extra cost. It seems like Royal has gone to nickel and diming customers. Our cabin was a bit too warm for us and the free food was like going to Golden Corral. We just did a back to back cruise on the Carnival Celebration and their free food was much better. It was out first Carnival cruise and we thought we would like the Icon better and did that also but actually liked the less crowded and better food on the Celebration. The service was excellent on the Icon all the employees were very polite and helpful. The ship was just beautiful and the pools were huge just loaded with kids. Overall I would not go on another so crowded ship it was just too many people and the lines were long.Embarkation
