Review summary

Overall, we all had a great time. I think what made it stress-free was planning ahead, a lot of research and reading everyone’s ship reviews and tips. Use the App!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest and fastest boarding I’ve experienced. Our boarding time was 1:30. We showed up at 1:00pm, and on the ship in less than 15 mins. We had done all check-in on the app prior which I highly recommend.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I found plenty of complimentary options available on the ship. I did not purchase specialty dining on this cruise, which I usually do; however, I didn’t have any issues with service and food quality. Our waiter, Fardeen, and his assistant, Arun were outstanding in the Main Dining Room. We reserved “My time Dining” and booked our times, so no issues on nights we ate in the Dining Room. Although, I’m not a huge fan of Buffets, the Windjammer had plenty of options, and everyone enjoyed the food there. El Loco Fresh, the food Hall in the Aqua Marjet all were good as well.

Onboard Activities

We used the Hideaway Pool, Royal Bay Pool area and The Cove pool. All three areas are clean and well designed. I love the view from the Hideaway since it faces aft. Our party used the water slides, rock climbing wall, Sport’s court, jogging track, mini golf, and Flowrider. All these things are complimentary. There was always something to do.

Entertainment

Wizard of Oz was long, but AMAZING. The Aqua Show was my absolute favorite. We saw Elemental in Absolute Zero which was also very entertaining. One of the comedians, Kivi, was hilarious- the others made me chuckle, but Kivi was very funny. DSB, a tribute Band, was surprisingly great- I say that because I went in expecting completely Cheesy, but I stayed for the entire show and left stunned at how talented the group was. Aside from that, I visited the Dueling Pianos venue, and had a lot of fun while Tim & Emily showed off their immense talent. Again, so much to do and see- I’m listing just some.

Service and Staff

Bar service was prompt and fun, Room Steward was phenomenal, all service was great. I had a minor laundry issue that was rectified immediately and handled professionally, so I was pleased.

Such a beautiful ship. Pictures really don’t do it justice.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our room steward took great care of us. I never had to ask for anything. We had service twice per day. I thought the storage space was great, and the shower and bathroom were well designed. I liked the balcony in this room as well. I really liked that we could control the room temperature, lights and TV from the app as well.

Ship tip

Definitely book the shows in advance. I was able to book the shows about two weeks prior to the sail date, and then plan my dinner time around that. There is so much to do, so maybe talk to your travel companions to see what is a must do or must see for each and plan for those things. It’s a lot of ship and my 7 days barely scratched the surface, but we all did our top 3, and everyone had a great time.

Disembarkation

This was the most surprising. I was expecting pure chaos. We left the ship at 7:45am and was outside in less than 15 mins. There was a person to help with luggage and explain where our transportation would be allowed to pick us up.
