Do your research and ask past cruisers their experience. I hope I was an isolated experience but I’ve talked to a ton of other people who sailed Harmony and they had the same issues. I understand everyone is different. While I had a less than expected experience my other Royal experiences have been great and I’d consider trying Harmony again, maybe after dry dock when it can correct any issues they’ve found.

Book your room near the elevator if possible. The 6th floor is great as you do not feel the waves as much being nearer the water. Plus you are right near the Boardwalk and the Aqua theater and Johnny Rockets.

This ship has so much to offer, make sure you pay attention to your cruise compass so you don’t miss anything! The shows are a MUST!

If you have kids, this is a great ship. However, I would not go on this size ship again. I thought I would really like the grandeur of the size but most of the excess size is dedicated to kid's activities. The smaller ships seem cozier, have more character, greater diversity of venues on various decks and more options to walk around the outside decks which are nice to wander at night. If you are an older adult, this is NOT the ship for you. Also, big disappointment was no pool in the adult's only solarium.

Try the Park Cafe for lunch. The hot sandwiches are my husbands favorite thing! Also give Wonderland a shot. i guarantee you will love it! Otherwise, head to the adults only pool to stay cool. Make sure you get your show tickets online ahead of time.

The promenade shopping was not as great as other ships. Example the little shopping sprees for small ticket items . It just seems to not be as much selection as I have had on other ships.

Don't get a boardwalk balcony if you don't like LOUD invasive noise and music from 8am until midnight.

Don’t try to do it all. Pace yourself and don’t save everything till the end of the week. Look at the daily Compass and decide what is most important participate in. And plan some down time to relax and enjoy the ride.

My advice to anyone sailing Harmony is to definitely look over your Cruise Compass completely and take highlighters. There is so much to do and see you will not do it all in 7 days, but don't make your cruise about doing as much as possible remember to relax. Also, just because you go to a port it doesn't mean you have to get off the ship.
