Review summary

I hated staring at the ocean for seven days and only had one day to get in. I would’ve liked a little bit more quiet time and a little bit more organization as far as ship time in real time

We are not picky eaters so for me the food was the only cool part about the ship. We enjoyed trying new things that we wouldn’t ever order a restaurant. My weight staff was on the ball and did over and above.

Onboard Activities

We tried to do almost everything we could on the ship. Time change and boat time and then the sunrise sunset time were so annoying. All contradicting times. Some events started early and we would miss out on the beginning. The shows we went to were funny and pretty good. We did the gem class and expected to get “free earrings” that was false advertising. The whiskey tasting was pretty cool. Did the rock wall that was probably the coolest thing. Although when we climbed up one of the pieces to grab wasn’t attached and couldn’t be used. When I told the person at the bottom they didn’t seem to care. The water slides were scary they should all be clear tubing and softer. They hurt my skin. The fitness center was cool .. the treadmill area should be a little bolder on the step down. almost twisted my ankle on that ledge right where those are. Zip line was pretty cool. And the flowrider was so weird made no sense to me a little more direction would have been nice. The pools were crowded and loud! No where to really relax and get away. The whole trip you stare at the ocean and can’t get in. Chlorine pools could be turned to salt. And I probably wouldn’t have been so claustrophobic. I did one evening of silent parties, that was definitely an interesting take. The club is fun but when requested a song the DJ wouldn’t play it and totally ignore me.

Entertainment

We went to two shows, one was the musical comedian he was pretty good funny good music, the DJ one of the nights that I was there was a very good didn’t take any requests. Of course on the last night they decide to put the best DJ back in the booth and actually play good music. The battle of the sexes show was entertaining. And then the entertainmentThat came right after that was pretty comical. But overall it wasn’t anything too special.

Service and Staff

The service I received from the waiters and room stewardess were absolutely out of this world. That made the whole boat so much better. And now I understand that’s probably the reason why people go back. Our waiter at dinner was phenomenal sweetest person. did anything you needed him to do as well as the room stewardess. I wanted to take them home with me. They probably are the only reason why I would ever get back on a boat but knowing that I probably wouldn’t have them the next time I got on the boat tells me that I probably won’t get back on. Only part about the boat I can say I loved.

Ship Quality

The common areas were very clean and very well kept. The Art and design was interesting on the bill I enjoyed that.

The company in size was fine for two people especially to people who didn’t really know each other. The cleanliness was very well-kept by our room steward Vic.

If you’re a beach person Who enjoys a little bit more relaxation don’t go

I would have really enjoyed it too have walked off the boat and walked onto the beach. I don’t want to have to get in the cab in a foreign country by myself or with a group and be driven around especially since you don’t have any time to spend on the island anyway we’re out these islands because there a beachy I wanted to enjoy the beach.

If you like to shop and spend money this is a perfect place for you I again wanted to walk off the boat and walk on the porch and a walk on the beach I shouldn’t have to leave the port into dangerous territory in a country that I don’t speak the language I don’t trust anybody to get in a cab to go to the beach again we’re on the water we spend seven days on the ocean and we can’t even get in the water there should be some kind of beach food place right there when you get off or you can enjoy like a resort something

This was the only day we have an excursion planned and unfortunately we waited in line for our pre-paid excursion for over 30 minutes and then drove in a very uncomfortable truck 2530 minutes to the location for the ATVs for our excursion get all the way there and the guy tells us that he gave all the ATVs to a group that got there before us. Completely unprofessional last stop of the trip didn’t get to do any other excursions because I was saving for my last day and we get turned away it’s very unprofessional and then I had to spend the whole day again if you want to shop it’s good for you but I couldn’t even get in the water because there’s no beach. I should be able to walk on a sandy beach and enjoy the water

I woke up extremely early was one of the first people off the boat thank God got to the airport promptly and couldn’t of been happier to get off the boat

Did you not get off the ship when it ported at the different islands? None of the ports that you went to where closes and all have beaches that you could have went too.

So you complained about everything, yet didn't do anything. And what is up with your time issues. Ship time is real time, Eastern Standard Time. Vacations are what you make them. If you are negative, you will not have fun no matter where you are. Harmony is the best ship that I have ever had the privilege to sail on. It would be impossible for me to have a bad time I that ship!... Or really, any really any other ship. Life is to short and you are on vacation! Just relax and enjoy your time!

Why only 1 day to get in the ocean? You can visit a beach at any port. There are several areas that are quiet. Central Park by day but especially at night is very peaceful. It's unfortunate you missed the Aqua show, Ice Skating show, Broadway musical, Headliner and such. Those are the best shows and they are free. If this was your first cruise now you understand the flow of cruising and how it all works. As far as ship time versus island time, I just stay on ship time the whole cruise, it makes it easier. Harmony is the largest cruise ship in the world at the moment. A slightly smaller ship like Navigator of the Seas or Freedom of the Seas might be good options for you if Harmony was overwhelming, if you choose to go on another cruise.
