It was nice! by bars1929

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Staff in Main dining room (Table #213 at 8 pm) and steward  of cabin #3576 was

excellent.

Staff on service table was not so good. In George Town I need a wheelchair for my wife and they give me offer for $75. Royal Caribbean has to have wheelchairs for

free.

Second siting in Main dining did not have a possibility to see a concerts in the Theatre.

Comments on Cruise by Cruiser746

Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

WE had a wonderful cruise. Everyone associated with the cruise were knowledgeable and helpful.

The service @ My Time Dining in the Gatsby was very good as was the food. The Windjammer was ,also, very clean and had great food. The staff were always eager to help. Als0, we enjoyed the Cafe for snacks. We often played cards in the solarium  We loved the shows in the palladium and trivia in the schooner bar.  Staff were always cleaning and keeping the ship neat.

Our one disappointment was not getting on the glass bottom boat @ the Cayman.s. Said the water was too murky. This was no fault of the Royal Caribbean but they returned half the price of the excursion.Big Smile

Best vacation i have ever had by kobungo13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was the best vacation i have ever had. I was so impressed with all the amazing activities and shows they had on the boat our days at sea was just as amazing as the ones at port. Our first stop at Cozumel was great even though it had rained. Next was the Grand Cayman and it was so beautiful. Sting Ray City and Dolphin cove there was our favorite excursion. When we stopped in Jamaica we were amazed at how friendly and happy the people were. The beach we went to was amazing as well. Our last stop in Labadee Haiti was so beautiful. The waitstaff and everyone on the boat were the best service i have ever had.

Best Way to Vacation by ggrowden

We were totally satisfied with the RC experience, all staff and entertainment, dining services and stateroom.  Everyone was so ready to assist if needed,  There was great ease at all ports,  and with entering and exiting the ship.  Our only disappointment was with the initial reservation made with Krystine Harmoneyq at .  There was confusion with our stateroom reservations which affected an on board credit for our travel companions,  and we were promised birthday and anniversary cakes which never happened.

AMAZED! by tammyjbaker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

With my husband being sick we had to move our cruise.  With the assistance of Cheap cruise reps and our medical doctors, we were able to move the trip.  We did not have travel insurance (husband was having surgery and I missed the pay date), but they understood what was going on and accommodated to move our trip date (and they gave us a discount on our insurance in case we needed to move it again).

The cruise was amazing, the people were great, the ship was beautiful.  This was our first trip together and who knows what next year will bring for us, we hope to do this again with the assistance of Cheap .  Thanks for a great experience.

VIP treatment by rd4bingo2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise. We loved it!!! The food was amazing! We bought the drink packages. I got the soda package. It was worth it!  We loved being on the ship. We were treated like VIPs. If we needed anything, they got it. Our stateroom was always clean and beautiful. The staff is amazing and friendly. The music was too loud for our tastes. We loved the salt water pool in the Solarium. We did not care for Nassau, The people are pushy. The city is dirty. The streets and side walks are falling apart. We were glad to go back to the ship. We loved Cococay! Beautiful beaches!!!! Wish we could of had more time in Key West. Beautiful homes to see.

Just so so by carol1260

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We have been "cruisin" for 12-15 years. The cruise lines, like everything else are providing less and less.  Gone are the Midnight chocolate buffets, the Cruise Away party on deck with food and live bands. Shows are down to 1 per night rather than the 3-4 of days gone by. The Windjammer lunch and dinner buffets consists of "recycled" items from the previous meal/day. Gone are the beautiful food presentations and ice sculptures. Even the toiletries they used to provide are long gone ( and they were a nice little luxury). Drink service is practically non-existent unless you sit directly at the bar...still, the ship was clean and most of the staff are friendly.  We had a nice time but, may have to rethink cruising in the future.

An awesome time on the ship. Great service as always, especially Gama (stateroom attendant), and Noel (bartender at the pool bar). We enjoyed the My Time dining and the late night snack area in the solarium!

New England by marymom40725

The trip was wonderful.  The colors were beautiful.  The weather was good.  A little cold in Canada.

The shows on the ship could have been better.  Too many comedians.  I would have loved more dancing and swinging shows. The staff tried to get everyone involved in activities.

The best cruise I have been on.  Happy

Geriatrics of the Seas by scottyaln

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Although my wife and I are in our pre-retirement years, I did not quite expect the overwhelming number (80%) of very elderly passengers.  The positive aspect is there were only a very few children and teenagers aboard, but also only few couples in their 30s - 50s.  We needed a lot of patience with blocked hallways and passageways filled with scooters, walkers, and SLOW movers, but for the most part, we enjoyed our fellow passengers.

Bermuda Cruise Vacationl by franmak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Cruise out of Baltimore was very convenient and boarding was effortless. The cruise on Royal Caribbean was most enjoyable. Our 4th on RC. Will definitely stay with RC. Our wait staff, in the Gatzby dining room, Castillo and Yang were exceptional. People like that is what keeps us coming back to RC.

wonderful service by dunavantjanis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The wait staff was great from the assistant waiter to the headwaiter.  The food was excellent and I enjoyed several of the alternative dining options as well. The Izumi sushi restaurant was elegant and delicious.  Chops grill had ege best surf and turf I have ever had. We also opted to have the Chef's table which was wonderful although fairly expensive at $50 per person.

The cabin service was exceptional as well.  Entertainment was superb, among the best I have seen.

Shore excursions were fairly expensive and we missed a shoreexcursion because it left 10 minutes early.

Bermuda was beautiful and never disappoints.

The Windjammer buffet was not as good as it shiuld have been.  No eggs benedict, crepes, few pastries, no donuts.  Needs some work.

The Grandeur is an older ship but was very good in all respects.

Royal Carribean The Only Way to Cruise by dawnspugs

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

To date this was our third cruise and second aboard Royal Caribbeans Grandeur of the Seas. We do prefer the smaller cruise ships but one day want to try the big RC cruise line.

We cannot say enough good about the staff, crew, and total ship. Everyone is dedicated to making you feel welcome and appreciated. They go above and beyond to keep you comfortable and happy. Cleanliness can't say enough there either. The entertainment while underway was great. Auctions, comedy, muscial, it's all here. Because of the small size cruise ship it seems you become "family" with other vacationers on board as well.

The captain kept us abreast of weather conditions, times embarking and debarking and how long the estimated time would be to go from port to port. We never felt unsure of any of the staff and crew from the Captain on down.

My cruise line will always be Royal Caribbean until proven otherwise.

Smokey cruise by Raasmith

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Arrival and departure were good, food was great, best value to get the Bar PP package, ship was nice for the size and age of the ship.  Clean.  Waiter and assistant waiter in the main dining room were more than accommodating, Excellent service.  Great personalities and were fun.  Windjammer restaurant was very good with a wide variety of food.  I would like to have had two full days in Bermuda, arriving at 3pm, than one full day and leaving by noon, was just not enough time to explore the island.  Ferry ride to the capital of Hamilton and the city itself were wonderful.

The main problem was smoking passengers, not staying in the smoke areas and the smoke areas themselves were the entire starboard side of the pool deck with no real division, closed off area or proper ventilation. Passengers/Children were subject to the second hand smoke. Going to the pool bar for a drink sometimes meant breathing in smoke.  The Casino was impossible to go to, too much smoke and  even a quick walkthrough had you smelling like an ashtray upon leaving, so we did not use the casino.

We enjoyed the trip, would like to go back to Bermuda, but they really need to fix the smoking.
