Great crew, few things on the ship could use work by sohyun343

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The beds weren't the best. It felt like I was sleeping on a rock. It was very noticeable that it was 2 twin beds put together, so the gap between the two beds was uncomfortable. There should be some sort of padding on top.

The pool was ridiculously small. It was always too crowded if you got there later in the morning to enjoy. Had to wait for people to get out before trying to enjoy the pool.

I also felt like I spent half of the cruise waiting for the elevators. Eventhough there were like 6-8 elevators on each floor, it felt an eternity for one to arrive.

Also the seats in the palladium aren't too comfortable, especially if you're a tall person.

We had a wonderful Grandeur of the Seas Baltimore to Nova Scotia 10 day Cruise with elderly parents and younger brother and sis in law. Good mix of sea days for relaxation with shore excursion days in interesting and enjoyable sights and food.

Great cruise ship showing its age by richknj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The cruise was really nice, weather great and crew very friendly.  We would definitely recommend this trip for others.

This was our first cruise North so the ports were new and unique as opposed to the Islands in the Caribbean.  Cruising during September (hurricane season) was a challenge and we lucked out because we were between 2 storms and just ahead of a third.  We will reconsider the time of year next time.

Fun Trip by Cruiser13624836

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The social activities were superb. The food was a little too salty for me. It would have been nice to have an area to make green smoothies. All of the staff were quite friendly, fun and helpful.

great! by Cruiser3807689

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

A few of the tours started early, however the cruise line allowed for that and started breakfasts earlier. The food in the Windjammer, Dining room and Park Café was really good and the snacks that the Diamond Lounge provided were awesome; the best we have had so far.  Our Concierge, Gisleni Araujo, was the friendliest and most helpful of any concierges that we have had. The Captain did a great job of keeping out of the way of the storm.

beautiful itinerary by goodsport

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Beautiful scenery, kind and nice local people and great weather; avoided any hint of the hurricane that was going on.  Kudos to the captain for steering us away from potentially rough seas.  Especially liked the lectures by Dr. Alan Fisher on board.  A smart, accomplished lecturer.

Suite on the ship was luxurious and well-appointed.  The staff was wonderful, even to the extent of finding a rubber bath mat because the tub was slippery.  Could have been more grab bars.  Also for improvement:  the telephone system was not great.  Sound not very clear and no way to know if had message without calling in

Food was good but not great.  Maybe unfair to report that because we eat only fish and vegetarian so couldn't really sample entire menu.

Entertainment was very professional.  The big production shows could have been directed more at our demographic which seemed to be the majority of the passengers--old codgers.

Cruise Review by fvtalhame

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Our favorite part by far was the love and marriage game show, absolutely hilarious!

The "in between meals" food selection seemed very limited- i think more variety would go a long way

yes i would recommend this cruise

Wonderful Relaxing Getaway by gshankman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The cruise was a great opportunity to get away and relax.  The food was fabulous.  There was plenty to do on the boat or you could just relax.  Your choice.  The cruise director and all the staff were very friendly.

If you want to go from Island to Island this is not the cruise for you but if you want a convenient short cruise out of Baltimore, it is a fantastic option

Evening activities were excellent with talented people; very enjoyable.  Casino was awesome with exceptional  employees.  Movies were current and well attended. Cabin steward was friendly and very attentive to our needs.  Beauty Salon personnel were very nice.  Hand sanitizer personnel were personable and I was impressed with the length you went for cleanliness.

Excellent Service by akilasekhar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

Yummy food and shows. I would like to see more games and my son missed having a basketball court in the ship. Eating in Restaurant with family together was fun.  We had fun dancing with the disco lights in the nightclub. Children enjoyed movie in the open deck. Enjoyed deck party with all together dancing step by step.

Wilson and Dan from Restaurant were very kind and helpful with our food needs as we were vegetarian. Special Thanks to them.

Relaxing Cruise by majordan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The cruise was wonderful. My favorite part of the cruise was the ease of checking in and checking out when the cruise began and ended. I did not particularly care for the reserved seating for suite members in the Palladium, there are never many seats available and it's open to general seating. Royal Caribbean should remove that as a "perk/benefit" of having a grand suite or above. Overall, the cruise was great and we booked  a 9 night while on board.

Ship needs renovation by evaray3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

This boat is too old and outdated. It is in bad need of updating and renovation. I have never seen a more tiny shower and I have been on many other cruises. The pillows on my bed were thin and hard and needed to be thrown away and replaced years ago. The food in the main dining room has gone way downhill. Probably because they are too interested in pushing the other restaurants where there is a $$ upcharge to go.  I wouldn't recommend this ship

Went for rest and relaxation. Bermuda is not what I'd call a "destination" We arrived around 2/3 and public transportation  shut down by 8.  Day  2 - Ferries etc do not run until 8 a. Had to be back on ship by 2.Not much time to do or see anything. Bermuda is so small that there was really not much to see.

Old ship. by Cruiser34936148

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

We enjoyed our cruise with adult children and grandchildren to Bermuda. We were too late booking this cruise to get the staterooms we wanted. The ship is old. There are issues with the air conditioning in the staterooms---either freezing or too warm. The service in the buffet has disappeared. No one is there to serve your drinks or refill your drink needs. I was disappointed in the overall quality of the food on the ship. We ate in the dining room, the Chops Grill and in the Windjammer buffet. The staff are friendly and sincerely want to please you. The grandkids loved the rock climbing wall, shuffleboard, pool and hot tubs. I learned how important it is to book early and get the rooms you need to be truly comfortable!

Great cruise by guitargilr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I loved the service.  The dining room and the room attendants were wonderful.  The RC singer dancers are very talented, but wow. I don't know who directed them but, the direction in the productions was really weak.  I wish there were a hop on, hop off bus in Boston.  The only other point would have been to have more TVs covering the Olympics.  RC might lack a little flexibility in taking advantage of World Wide events such as the Olympics.

Nickel and Dime by carlajean

Loved the ports of call!  It would be hard to pick a favorite.  Cruise staff in the dining room and our cabin attendant were great.  The dealers (with the exception of Julien) were surly at best and rude on occasion.   Got very tired of having the specialty restaurants pushed all the time.  And WiFi. And drink packages. And photos. And anything else RCI can think of to get more money.   Not an all-inclusive vacation anymore.

Seeing a part of the country that I would have never driven to. All the ship's personnel were kind and eager to please the guests aboard. All the food was great!
