Good but can be improved

Sail Date: April 24, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Grandeur of the Seas has a BIG screen that they do NOT know how to utilize. What they should do is ANY time they have a presentation or demonstration , it should be telecast on the big screen so many more can see what is going on.

Excursions are discounted if you book them late, after you are on the ship?! This is backwards to me.. You should get a discount if you book in advance!

Overall the cruise was good
Ship Quality
Still has strange odor in midship
Food and Dining
Steak was tough,sent 2 back
Cabin / Stateroom
state room was very well kept
Service and Staff
some of the staff was ill informed about excursions.Had the wrong knowledge of the excursion
entertainment was NOT good
Onboard Activities
need better information and maps of visiting islands
Destinations and Excursions
Had a few snorkel excursions that were NOT good. Were ask to snorkel in shallow water over coral.. a few people got burned and cut due to the contact with the coral
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Visit Old Puerto Rico
Philipsburg, St. Maarten Do the Americas Cup excursion...GREAT
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Stay away from the Glass Bottom Boat excursion, beeter to go snorkeling on your own..It's more of a shopping tour with little time in the glass bottom boat
St. John's, Antigua
Don't snorkel Bird island, save your money
Tortola, British Virgin Islands Scuba great, Snorkel Smugglers cove
Samana, Dominican Republic Go to the island beach..Otherwise this Island should not be visited
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island) GREAT DAY..Zip line is awesome
Baltimore, Maryland Port should NOT be downtown..should be on other side of Key Bridge
