FANTASTIC! The weather was absolutely perfect—not so great for the glaciers but it was nice not to have to deal wit( cold and rain.

Plenty of things to do on the ship during sea days. We enjoyed the photography courses, bingo and raffles. The fitness center was always packed in the morning but I prefer to walk outside, anyway. Promenade deck was the perfect setting for me.

Our room steward was EXCELLENT. Some wait staff were better than others but all were good.

We’ve travelled on the Grand before so were familiar with the layout. Common areas were very well kept.

Ship tip
Take some magnetic hooks to hang items on the wall. Going to Alaska, my sister and I had a ton of shoes and clothing so the hooks really helped out.
We took the White Pass Railway/bus ride and it was fantastic. The bus stopped at Liarsville for a salmon bake on the way back to Skagway. The salmon lunch was great but the stay in Liarsville (2 hours) was a bit too long. We could have done with less acting from the performers and manufactured gold panning.
We went on the wildlife adventure on a small boat and it was great. We didn’t see any bears, which was disappointing but we did see a ton of bald eagles, otters, deer, sea lions and a variety of other birds.
