Enjoy the many shore excursions, but also intentionally pass on at leas one port of call excursion in order to take advantage of an almost empty ship by having your choice of pool deck lounge chairs, empty/private hot tubs, & no lines at the bars.

Freedom of the Seas was a beautiful ship and the service in the restaurants, bars, promenade shops and casino area was excellent Everyone was very nice and accommodating.

Bring your own hangers, there arent many, and there are formal dining nights. Also even though you have a specific dining floor, check out the different photographers, they all do something different with different backgrounds.

Things that use to be free are no longer. Movies in your room they now want 8.99 to watch. (you will only get cartoons free) Current movies are playing on deck under the stars, but the lawn chairs are REALLY uncomfortable and visibility is poor from almost everywhere, due to railings & poles. And There's an open bar that is loud. Use to watch from the comfort of our room and order room service (which by the way is also no longer free. Good thing we go off the grid, internet is now $12.99 per day. And all though the Spa service was great, that will cost you twice as much also. Ice show is awesome, Food is just okay. Everything these days is all about money. Kinda ruins what use to be the all-inclusive vacation. And this isn't my first cruise I've been cruising at least twice a year since the 80's.

Look at your Cruise Conpass and highlight activities that interest you. We were able to really maximize our time on the ship by doing this every morning at breakfast!

If you’re gluten free you need to order your food the night before for the following day. It was day 4 before we learned that.

Go to the front of deck 5 through the exit door on the right of the show lounge to access the bow of the ship. Great secret spot to see the sunset and have your own “Titanic moment.”

Don't expect to enjoy all. Even with 2 days at sea, there isn't enough time to experience everything. :D Pick your top options and work around those.

Have patience. You will be contending with masses of fellow travelers and lots of ill-behaved children.
