Review summary

Always an amazing vacation experience with Royal Caribbean! All of the food was delicious, the service was personable & extremely accommodating, the ports of call were heavenly, the entertainment was top quality & diverse. You could be as active or relaxed as you wished.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth, hassle free

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the dining rooms & Windjammers was so good, I didn’t feel the need to spend extra $ on specialty dining

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots to do. I even took advantage of the library so I had a good book to read poolside.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Excellent stage shows/performers, but the audio system for the poolside movies sucked.

Children's Programs

We didn’t bring any children this trip.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service everywhere was exceptional

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean bathrooms, & plenty of them. I like that the layout of the ship is very similar to all of the other Royal Caribbean ships, so things are familiar & I can easily find my way around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very satisfactory. The only negative was that the shower didn’t have a foot rest for my wife to shave her legs (as the Harmony of the Seas DOES have this feature)

Ship tip

Enjoy the many shore excursions, but also intentionally pass on at leas one port of call excursion in order to take advantage of an almost empty ship by having your choice of pool deck lounge chairs, empty/private hot tubs, & no lines at the bars.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Did not do an excursion in San Juan, but appreciated the convenience of the close proximity of the airport & the embarkation port.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
No excursion, but a beautiful island!

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
My wife & I went on the Antigua Beach Break in February 2019 & had a great time. The beach was not crowded at all (unlike the St. Lucia excursion where they had us packed in like sardines). Transportation was provided, adequate facilities, one free drink (alcohol or not) beach chairs & umbrella. Relatively inexpensive, and you may purchase additional drinks, but no frills either. Perfect for us tho, who were looking just for a beautiful beach to chill at.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
This is a beautiful island, but our beach excursion view was blocked by too many umbrellas, & we were crammed in like sardines.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
No excursion, but a beautiful island.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
No excursion, but a beautiful island.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was simple, but very sad because I didn’t want to leave!
