Review summary

The Southern Carribean is so beautiful and Fredom of the Seas made it even better! The crew of the ship continue to rock service standards out of the water. Every cruise we go on will be measured against this one.

Embarkation

Quick and easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the Main Dining Room was great! We’d been on another ship last year and the food was terrible so we were relieved to see Freedom kept to the standard we’re used to.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn’t do too much except relax at the pools but we had a great time.

Entertainment

We didn’t go to the shows because of the times. Normally there’s a show earlier that we would go to before our late seating dinner but they only had one showtime and it was extremely late. We preferred to do other stuff.

Children's Programs

We were kid free-thank God

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The bar and wait staff were all great. We went to Boleros every night and Damien took good care of us.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was always spotless

Cabin / Stateroom

The AC unfortunately wasn’t working most of the time which was a bummer but other than that the room was fine.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We took the day before the cruise to explore Old San Juan

Basseterre, St. Kitts Did not visit port

We made it a sea day

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
The port was crowded but we did the Stingray City excursion. It was EPIC!

Castries, St. Lucia Did not visit port

We made this into s sea day due to hearing it was very dangerous

Bridgetown, Barbados

Found it odd that we were so far from the port and required a bus but was thankful for the bus. We took a taxi for $5 a person to Harbour Lights where we had booked ahead of time a chair, umbrella and turtle snorkel for the two of us for $40 total. It was a phenomenal experience and would recommend it

Philipsburg, St. Maarten Did not visit port

Made this another sea day but didn’t shop at the port. I specifically got off to shot there because I love the lady who runs the Spice Shack

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was fine other than they made us get off the ship. Ho hum
