Make sure if you do "My Time" dining, that you make reservations for the entire week as soon as you get on the ship. We had two small children with us and ended up with a 7:45 p.m. seating because we waited.

Ate in My Time Dining. Most helpful in fitting in seating for your choice of time. Waiter was one of the nicest. His assistant, too. Windjammer's food was not as tasteful as the dining, but in mornings and a quick lunch, it was perfect. The guest relations desk most helpful.

Make sure to buy your drink package before you get on the ship because you can save some money. I didn't know you could bring your own water and cokes. Make sure to check on that.

Don't buy anything the first day. It all goes on sale by 60% by the last day. All spa packages that were $179 on Day 1 go down to $99 on Day 5. very nice now that you can go to the promonade deck and eat the pizza for free and the sandwiches at starbucks. Very disappointed that IF you go into Johnny rockets it costs you on top of the food price 6.95 per person just to go in

Non-smokers - avoid the smoking side of the ship. It's easy to do. Don't miss the Ice Show. Have some laughs at the Wave Rider.

The Freedom of the Seas was a very clean cruise ship, There was never a time when I was walking around the ship that I did not see an employee cleaning. My tip would be to get up early enough to go on deck and secure lounge chairs. There never was enough to go around.

the food in the windjammer was not as good as in the dining room but the special things that they made in front of you was great! We did not like the magic show but that was just us.....because others that we talked to liked it..

Promenade rooms were very nice - even though we didn't overlook the ocean it was nice to have a window.

Don't waste your money on specialty dining. The dining room food is a 5 star quality. Johnny Rocket, is the only one worth paying the extra money for. Also, don't plan on having ice cream from Mr. Sprinkles, there was only one machine and the lines are always long.

Don't buy a dining package! And be prepared to pay for literally ANYTHING you want that is not part of the most basic needs.
