Review summary

We loved it and would definitely do it again. We always enjoy Royal Caribbean - the food, service, activities and entertainment. We had a few rough days on the ocean, but not that many.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation went very smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We thoroughly enjoy the dining rooms. The buffet can be very busy at meal times - hard to find a seat. We didn't try a specialty restaurant - didn't feel like we needed to.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were so many things to do onboard that we had to pick and choose. We did dance classes, took in a movie, took part in a flash mob, listened to lectures, etc.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There were some great shows.

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They always go above and beyond!

Ship tip

Prepare to enjoy. There are a few areas that a looking a little tired, but for the most part it is beautiful!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We flew in a day early and did some touring on our own. We used Uber to get around.

Honolulu, Oahu

5 out of 5
We rented a car and went to Diamond Head and Hanauma Bay.

Lahaina, Maui

4 out of 5
We took the bus to the beach. I recommend not to get a day pass however, because the bus was full to return and the next bus didn't come for an hour. We ended up just using Uber to return. If there's more than two of you, it's just as cheap to use Uber.

Lautoka, Fiji Islands

3 out of 5
We were not so impressed with this port. We took a taxi tour.

Suva, Fiji

2 out of 5
We landed in Suva on Sunday and most everything was closed. We attended a church service and walked around the town.

Mystery Island, Vanuatu Did not visit port

We had to skip this port because of a medical emergency

Lifou Isle, New Caledonia

4 out of 5
This was an interesting little village with a nice beach right at the port. We found that everything was way over priced. You were able to barter and I would recommend that, for sure.

Mare Isle, Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia

4 out of 5
We took the ship's shuttle to the beach (the only thing available for tours). It was the most beautiful beach I've ever been to. Wonderful snorkelling.

Sydney, Australia

5 out of 5
We stayed in Sydney for 3 nights. What a lovely city with so much to do. We took a cheap bus tour (3 hours) and it was great. Did lots of walking. Took the train to the Blue Mountains (I don't think we would do that again). We really appreciated having an Opal card for all the public transportation. The maximum rate per day is $15. That's for anywhere in New South Wales.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth. We did customs on the ship a couple days prior to disembarking.
