Review summary

This was our first Holland America cruise. We loved the relaxed vibe and the guided wildlife viewings. Food was great (when it was available...dining hours were a bit strange). Crew was fantastic all throughout the cruise.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
System was down and it took a super long time to get to the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was great. Gave 4 stars due to the limited dining hours and ice cream was not self serve. 😆

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pretty low key. Info sessions were very helpful.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not a whole lot to choose from.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful! Very attentive and polite.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great facilities and extremely clean the entire time.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Aft, port side, balcony cabin. Great views and convenient location to lido bar. Only issues were noise level from lido deck (could hear chairs being dragged across the floor and loud conversations) and first night water was getting dumped right onto our balcony from crew members cleaning the deck above us.

Ship tip

We really enjoyed cruising Eurodam! Not too big, not too small. Crow's Nest was a great spot early mornings. Thermal Spa was nice to try once but wouldn't spend money on it again. Didn't have a whole lot to offer and the facilities were randomly not working.

Ports of call

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Great town with a lot if history. Sitka National Park was beautiful and a very easy walk.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Beautiful scenery right when you get off the ship. Red Dog Saloon was fun to stop in and of course crab legs at Tracy's are a must try.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved this town and wish we had more time there!

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
It was nice walking along the shoreline. Careful...the rocks are slippery! Lol! Not a whole lot to do at this port other than the ziprider.

CRUISE STEPHENS PASSAGE

Seattle, Washington

LOVE SEATTLE!

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
I wish we could have visited with some daylight and definitely would have loved more time to explore and shop. It was a beautiful, clean town.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Beautiful!

Cruise Puget Sound

5 out of 5
Small, easily accessible port. Their system was down and it took forever to get through.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest one we've experienced. We did the baggage transfer and port shuttle to airport...highly recommend both.
