We enjoyed our first trip on a Holland America ship. The Eurodam was smaller than other ships we had cruised on, but was the perfect size for this more intimate trip to Alaska. Overall our experience was positive, and we would look to sail with HAL again in the future.

The food in the main dining room was slightly above average - not a lot of seasoning on the entrees. Desserts were often the highlight. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the Lido Market - better than other cruises we have been on. We enjoyed the service, and felt the food was really fresh at the Market.

We enjoyed our dining room waiter Oky - very quick witted! Our stateroom was kept spotless by Munir and Risman. The staff in the Lido Market were very good also.
Ship Quality

Common areas were very clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, we often experienced empty hand sanitizing stations, and 2 of our group arrived home with Covid.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was very comfortable with plenty of room for 2. LOVED the verandah - spent a lot of time there just enjoying the beautiful scenery. Munir and Risman kept our space very clean!
Ship tip
The Eurodam is a small ship - we were constantly amazed how quick we got from one end to the other. Perfect size for cruising Alaska!
We arrived in Victoria at 8:00pm. There is nothing to do around the port - you must book an excursion or take a 30 minute shuttle from the port to the downtown area. Since the ship left at 11:30, we did not feel it was worth it. Would have liked to know that there was nothing at the port in advance of arriving.
