We were able to upgrade to a Neptune Suite for an unbelievably low cost. Suite was extremely spacious and comfortable.

Ship tip

If you are active nightclub patrons and prefer a younger clientele this ship is not for you.

Going through the locks was very interesting. No need to take a cruise that goes through the full set of locks to the Pacific. Partial locks are good enough.

Cruise Gatun Lake (Inside Panama Canal)

We spent way too much to take a dome train ride. The dome was not worth the extra money from riding in a non-dome car. It was good to see Panama but don’t expect to go into Panama City. We saw the skyline across the Pacific bay, which is quite impressive.

A real pit of an area. Lots of warnings not to wonder outside the port area.

We didn’t go on an excursion. Shopping outside the port is a large size building. Reminder me of a flea market.
