Touring Glacier Bay National Park, as well as Tracy Arm, and Misty Fjords were the highlights to this trip. Last year we visited in mid-September (at the end of the season) .... many services were closed and weather was poor. This year the visit in August was significantly better weather-wise, and more wildlife viewing of gray whales, humpbacks, black bear, mountain goats, and bald eagles. Great time of year to visit Alaska.

Balcony cabin room 8070 was clean, offered nice viewing of Glacier Bay and other areas visited, and was comfortable throughout the trip.
Ship tip
August is a good month to tour Alaska, the weather was excellent and the shops were nearing the end of the season and offered good discounts.
The excursion to Misty Fjord was excellent, highlighted by spotting a blue whale, black bears, and mountain goats. The weather at Misty Fjord was outstanding in August.
